I heard GoT is filmed in Belfast and Malta. So which place where the scenes filmed? Was it Belfast or Malta? And where in there? Thanks :P

They're worth it, this was considered classic fantasy when the books came out, George R.R. Martin is supposed to be the "American Tolkien". So HBO spent a lot of money on the series...

I like it, because if you hadn't read the books, you totally wouldn't expect the "main character" to die like that. Some fans of the books might even think that they had planned to change the plot so that Ned would survive, because he seems like the main character. Ned's death came as a real shock to a lot of viewers, which is what it should have done.

Hopefully ep10 will move it along more and with have more action scenes then ep9. Im not saying ep9 was crap, it's that I dont want to wait until next season to see either a major battle, white walkers coming south or the Dothraki sail across the sea.

1. I have read all the books, i suggest you dont connect with any charachters because most of them will die.

Er, it's hardly "unjust". The man abandoned the Night's Watch and broke his vows, for which the penalty is death. That's literally the law, and which was outlined in his vow.
It wasn't "fair", but Ned was upholding the law, it's not a fair world.

@Zennofobic I don't see how what Ned did was unjust. The nights watchman in the first episode was a deserter. He ran for his life instead of going back to Castle Black, betraying his oath and duty. Deserters are dealt with through execution.

Someone here suggested that we should not get hooked with the characters coz most of them will die. That someone is not enjoying the show. I suggest the other way. HBO wanted to give you a great show, they've already done it.

@destroyALLjihadists Didn't manage to look through all your arguments, I pretty much stopped after a whole paragraph of explicitives and insults, so I'm going to guess you're pretty young. But to offer my own opinion, I'd have to say that Game of Thrones is actually quite a brilliant approach to a fantasy medieval setting. The characters felt very real and believable, and even more so did the setting. And, I've never read a book that really showed the portrayal of events from many perspectives.

Cliches? Nothing I can put to note, but what few their are, isn't necessarily a bad thing. Medieval fantasy is perhaps one of the oldest genres to have been in existence. Cliches aside, this book stands my favorite for it's genre, atleast it grabs the attention.
