  • uhm..ya...Clem Burke...kinda....rulz! awesome drummer!

  • A Blondie moment! Damn! Its been a long time!

  • god i still love this song and still a big blondie fan

  • That drummer is the best pop drummer I've ever seen

  • I love this band, ever since I heard them 33 years ago. I still love Debbie all these years , I would love to meet her. In fact I have my Blondie shirt on as we speak. punks not dead < cheers!!!!

  • Clem Burke: great drumming.

  • @Fapswitch awesome drumming - remember watching this in 8th grade and thinking that guy is great.

  • Yes! the drummer has come unhinged man!!! He is as one w/ the song, lol amazing to listen and watch....GREAT song!

  • Perfect pop. Cannot every be topped. Blondie and Debbie are the embodiment of the Warhol ideal. Still shocking 30+ years later.

  • Yeah baby! This video and the original Atomic vid are extra enjoyable to me coz they showcase the controlled lunacy that is Clem Burke at the drums. U rock Burkey

  • Nice melody but the drumming is the jewel in this song. Just posting the truth.....

  • Clem Burke made this song - amazing 3:22 of drumming

  • @insidecelebrities Drumming like that must be like a workout!!!

  • Great !!

  • Clem Burke is Keith Moon reincarnated...

    Absofreakin'lutely amazing!

    Yet ANOTHER reason why today's music is nothing but G A R B A G E!

  • I've never seen a drummer quite like that. Clem Burke is simply...spectacular.

  • Clem Burke is a beast. Genius.

  • Best punk band of the 80s total package. That Drummer is from somewhere else.

  • I have to swear! Fucking fantastic! :)

  • Debbie's hair goes from 'perfect & dry' to 'sweaty and messed up' back and forth several times through this video........ magic! I swear back in 78or 79 I thought Blondie was a British band, because they were touted as #1 in Britain + punk and the style and phrases in this song didn't help.

    "A movie or a measure"?

I'll have a cup of tea

    Beat feet, walking a two-mile.

Meet me, meet me at the turnstile.

    filling up an idle hour.

I sit by and watch the river flow.

I sit by and watch the traffic go

  • i remember this video coming off of space mountain at walt disney world. Any one else?

  • "It is not one man nor a million, but the spirit of liberty that must be preserved. The waves which dash upon the shore are, one by one, broken, but the ocean conquers nevertheless. It overwhelms the Armada, it wears out the rock. In like manner, whatever the struggle of individuals, the great cause will gather strength"

  • Whooo Hooo! Thumbs up for the drummer!

  • @1997Roscoe Clem Burke-drives the beat x 1000

  • God he's the meanest and on it drummer, Bow down......

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!

  • oh god, now I feel old ..... and young again too ;)

big smiles remembering living this scene :)

  • The moment when Debbie sings, "You could tell I was no debutante..." and fluffs her hair is priceless. Camp, hilarious, bitchy, sexy, awkward... she invented a new genre. Nobody has ever come close. And at 66, she is still entrancing.

  • don't think i've seen a drummer make such a simple drum beat look so difficult

  • @sockington1 haha simple, try doing that for four mins

  • @sockington1 You really know nothing of this musician if thats all you got to say. Let me tell you about Clem he is one of the most highly respected drummers in the world and music business, he has been playing the drums for over 40yrs. He is well respected as being one of the most nicest men in rock music. Clem has a Honorary Doctorate Of Music for his excellence as a musician but also the pioneering work he has undergone exploring the physical demands of drumming to enhance future musicians.

  • 1:35 -- Fab Five Freddy -------- YO! MTV Raps!

  • She was the queen of new wave. Her sound energy, style, icy hot beauty, wry knowing smile and strong appeal made Deborah Harry the person who defined a generation of women. Cynical, yet optimistic...angry yet strong...sweet but defensive...and never a bad hair or fashion day.

She was never "feminist" per se. Instead, she got her point across by simply being herself. There was nothing like her as not been anything like her since. Ladies, take note

  • This had to have been filmed in the early '80s. I can't believe it could have been any earlier than 1981. My guess would be summer '82.

  • @eswyatt try 79'. They made a video for all their songs off the "Eat the the Beat" album, which was released in 1979. And this is one of them.

  • Wow..Here it is August 2, 2011, and this song still ROCKS!!!!

  • GREAT! AMAZING! Thanks a lot from... ehm, from Italy.

Blondie was unic for sound, excellent drums, the singer is an erotic perfect dream!
