hey thanks for that, love it,and love the steely style, will pass it on to those who will love it,great lyrics and that solo is deadly.well done and thanks for posting it to me,and will down load your stuff, love it,
I have reviewed over 3,000 songs on garagebband, I guess that qualifies me to critique this song. I love the Steely Dan feel to it. The break and then the classical taste for a second break lead is cool and the outro is very unique, one of which I never heard before.
Overall the song has a smooth approach mellow and a good Hook...oooAriana
WOW, I like, thanks for sharing this. Very GOOD stuff. Lots of surprises. Jazzy groovy, interesting changes. Keep it up. Good vocals, however a little more connection with the music. Like the guitar solo of course. Nice acoustic. Maybe a bit too much overproduction. but really good.
Very nice... not sure what this song was trying to be tho. Catchy groove. Outdoorsy. The lead was a Steely Dan-esque vibe, a drunk Larry Carlton if you will. The acoustic part was a nice surprise, then....the pedal steel at the end blew my high...I was like wtf.
Constructive criticism. Liked it but too much in it. Simplify.
It's kind of a jazzy rock. I'm not sure if dissonance is the right term, or where the melody of the words being sung sound different from the instruments, but it gives a cool vibe. It reminds me of Steely Dan the most.
Okay, I need something to answer the vocals...perhaps some steely guitar with a thread of tight bongos playing. How about a trumpet echo underneath it all...
It's all good to me. Kind of an early Santana vibe to it-love that style of music. Somewhat Steely D. but I also hear a slight Isley Bros. thing to it.
Jazzy rock written all over it... what a great piece, love the sound. I'm not going to lie I could definitely see Larry Carlton being impressed with the guitar playing...
Kinda like Pablo Criuse, Ambroisha, Firefall type sound with Steely Dan mixed in. Need a horn somewhere like a sax or maybe trombone playing on top of another instrument.
that is a huge leap to mention SD. Pablo Cruise maybe.. yacht rock.. Love Jones...(end of summer). Lyrics just don't cut it. I know.. if you can't say something nice... but, it was sent to my email.. i listened and responded.
Actually, I agree that our lyrics are not at all like Steely Dan. Lyrically, it's more of a soulful, Motown kind of thing, or maybe just a love song. But I think people are trying to say that they see the jazz chords and electric piano as the SD comparison. But I'll say this... "Ariana" is the only "Jazz-Rock-Power-Ballad" that I know of (or maybe one of a few). It's a unique song and deserves recognition. Thanks for listening! We appreciate your input.
Nice groove. Love the jazz-inspired chords and the guitar solos. Like a lot of the others commenting here, I can hear the Steely Dan influence. Can't wait to share this!
Thanks for listening! We're from Chicago. Not sure if we're going to tour any time soon, but hopefully someday. Meanwhile you can download all our songs for FREE at our website...
not too shabby doods. I detect some Steeley Dan flavors in the recipe, nice bit of musicianship there as well. Keep going mate, going and ty 4 the post.

The opening to this VAGUELY reminded me of another Steely Dan song, Brooklyn. No Steel Pedal Guitar though.
Nice
