My mistake, the drummer's name is Bobby Thompson. A student/friend of the late Frank Butler (Cougar Estrada, drummer for Los Lobos and many others) pointed it out after some examination.

Big Joe, he doesn't care where the band is, he just comes in singing! :-)
Leroy Vinegar, the bass player, catches it and saves it by going to where Big Joe
is singing.
Kinda funny, it seems like Big Joe maybe knocked down a few drinks at the club :-)
