and also if you upgrade the wolverines to the volley point you can use their special attack and it thrashed vehicles...it really works if you have a lot of them and you do it all at once. :D

yo man read wat the description of the units u train its a waste of time to train anti air units (aka wolverines) when fighting a vehicle. wat u really need was those rinos ready t fire near that area that u were retreating to alot and cobras sure there slow but they specialize in destroying vehicles and if u could (cause i dont have the full version so i wont know bout this level) upgrade the mac to full and ull get four mac rounds and extreme fire from it

In the gamebook and infomation and what-not, it says that a MAC cannon fires uranium slugs at a quarter the speed of light. Seriously, if you are firing something at a quarter the speed of light, it would do damage, even if it was a toothpick :D

the 1 spirit of fire use for orbital bombardment uses less energy and fires smaller slugs. The mac they use on ships are bigger slugs and use more energy to charge up. Thats why during space battles, macs are hardly used that much.

i just overload on gauss hogs and then take out the nodes. Once you do that drive the to one side of the scarab and shoot it. When the beam it about to hit them, just drive the hogs to the other side and the beam will do no damage.

No, of the game play i've seen the mac blasts that conflict with your units don't hurt them. ( might differ with diffrent difficultys)

Thats bull. They do kill your own units. Any leader power with "shock" damage can kill your units. MAC, Carpet, and Cryo will affect your units. Now how much depends on current upgrades to those units (such as ODST).

i tried that and it didn't do any good. What i did was get a whole wack of scorpians and send out 1 to kill all the generaters to slow down it's head. but still that MAC isn't that good on it

because you need units in the area to use the mac blast and eventually the scarab will destroy the ruins protectiong your base andblow the shit out of you

I think the scarab is highlighted, and so you don't need units in the area,,, that's how it was on mine. A TIP EVERYONE upgrade warthogs all the way and send four or five on suicide missions to get the nodes, once all the nodes are gone, upgrade cobras a the way and get the reserves thing from the field armory, then send all the cobras at the scarab and deploy them all around it.

This was one of the stupidest levels in the game, everytime I go out with the tanks and Warthogs it just constantly kills them, but I beated it! Just destroy the Scarab using the MAC blast

the problem i'm having with the scarab is that whenever i get my guys up close to kill it, it either goes berserk and kills my base right away or it kills all my guys than kills my base building by building making me suffer through a relativly slow and painful process

It's because the Prophet of Truth lied to the Covenant (all the Prophet's names are an ironic twist on their personalities). Basically, he found out that Human's were Forerunner but because the Prophet's didn't want to lose their power, they basically told the rest of the Covenant that Human's were desecrating the land of their gods and that they were to be destroyed. I think that's how it went.
