For what it is though, I'm glad YouTube didn't butcher the clarity of this audio. What amp are you using friend? I have a Little Dot MK III Tube amplifier that was for my Beyer DT-990/600, but I think I need something special for these.

While the idea of letting us hear your Sennheiser HD 650 sounds cool, by the time you encode the video then have YouTube compress the s*** out of it, we sadly don't get the same audio quality. Luckily, I'm wearing Sennheiser HD 650's of my own and can love the hell out of this video! :D

How is the bass? I have the AKG K701 and even though the sound stage and clarity is amazing, the bass feels like and old womans saggy tits. I just ordered the Beyerdynamics DT 990 PRO 250 Ohm and I get the impression those will be fun headphones but I can also get these for a pretty good deal. How would they differ in sound compared to the aforementioned HPs? Thanks!

which amp would you recommend for these headphones? can they be use unamped?

@phishydk Nope, they sound terrible unamped. I bought them 2 days ago and using them with Pro-ject headbox SEII amplifier. It costs about 350 dollars and its just on the edge of what is minimum for these headphones. They need a lot of power. I'd say its better to get a nice high quality integrated speaker amp (like here in video) and use it instead of headphone amplifiers, unless you're ready to pay 500-1000 dollars.

those are HD650, but you can see the number 600 on the driver. Wassup with that?

They use the same drivers as the HD600, they just tuned the frequency response a bit for the HD650 (more bass, less treble)
