However, UConn spanked South Carolina in a bowl game last year and although they lost 5 games, the combined point differential in those games was 15. They barely lost those 5 games.

Hey ZooCrew, let me explain to you why the Big10 is garbage. The overwhelming majority of your conference recruits come from Midwest states. The Midwest produces inferior athletes, and for good reason, athletes in these states only play football for 6 out of the 12 months of the year. Down here in the Southeast, are boys play football year round!
So's the Pac-10, the Mountain West, the ACC, the Big East, the Sunbelt, and most of the Big 12, but the Big Ten seems to be able to beat most of those teams. Michigan also handed it to Florida in between their NCs and Ohio State kept up with Texas last year until the end. Yes, the SEC is a powerhouse now, but that time is coming to an end. You'll also find there are more Big Ten fans and alumni than in most other conferences, so quite a few people do give a shit.

Bottom line....are athletes down here in the Southeast are: bigger, faster, stronger more agile, more skilled, more hungry, etc. Michigan and other schools in your conference, cannot recruit, or more accurately, do not recruit enought athletes from the Southeast to be championship caliber!!!! Hey, the number one QB recruit this year is from a suburb outside of Detroit right by my house. He'll also be a Wolverine next year.
Also, the best athletes usually come from both Florida and Texas and California, as USC has demonstrated.

The Midwest produces inferior athletes, and for good reason, athletes in these states only play football for 6 out of the 12 months of the year. Down here in the Southeast, are boys play football year round!

So's the Pac-10, the Mountain West, the ACC, the Big East, the Sunbelt, and most of the Big 12, but the Big Ten seems to be able to beat most of those teams. Michigan also handed it to Florida in between their NCs and Ohio State kept up with Texas last year until the end. Yes, the SEC is a powerhouse now, but that time is coming to an end. You'll also find there are more Big Ten fans and alumni than in most other conferences, so quite a few people do give a shit.

That's not true at all. ND was never offered membership, there was merely talk in private settings in 1992 and ND's board of trustees decided against further negotiations...Bo Schembechler said "to hell with Notre Dame," and even if they wanted in now, I doubt they'd get voted in.

I am not a Notre Dame fan at all, but you have to give them some respect because they do have a challenging schedule in college football. They don't have the luxury in belonging to a conference like the Big 10, that has 4 or 5 powerhouse teams followed by a bunch of creampuffs.
