This version is the best I heard of this song...but the "promo version" thing,it's pretty annoying...is there a video of this exact version not interuptted by stupid "promo version" ??
Yup thing song has grown on me. So clever how Nick's been able to be using stuck chorus on a square wave and had that as the main bassline. Good use of the original samples as well.
High-octave riff is a Nord Lead 2??
Yes Nick, again, double thumbs up from your number one fan.
hmm i agree, i prefer the more trancy version, the bass on here is a bit wierd as well. would of thought a more raw banging bass would have suited it more for a club mix. ahh well, still good.
Still, its good to see that while Nick had a more Rock/Indie feel to Somersault he seems to have returned to Club for a while with Offshore 2007 and a new version of Saltwater.
what ever happened to the other version with the two videos mixed, this sucks shit and so does the dude in the background but the track is still awesome!
I'm glad this will get a proper release. It's an amazing track. Love the newer version.
Can't wait to purchase this.
PS. Will those remixes of "Spirit" that were on that super limited promo ever be released? The preview of the Wawa mix was great. Any info would be appreciated.
If this really is Chicane, please release this as a single on CD. Come Tomorrow (Cicada Remix) was brilliant but I cannot see why the offical CD release was cancelled.
Yes this really is Chicane ;o). The Come Tomorrow CD was cancelled, as it didnt get the airplay and backing from the radio stations that it deserved. In fact, there was a rare and very limited 6 track purple cover CD produced, and there is one for sale on ebay UK right now !! I think/hope that Bruised Water will be big enough to make a run of CD's commercially viable, at least for the many fans/collectors if nothing else.

I prefer the Original Club Mix more trancey.

Such a shame that this garners attention but "Somersault" was largely ignored. There are MUCH better tracks on that disc than this mess.
