Beautiful bike, a dream for us Brazilians. I, here in Brazil, I have a RD 350 LC, the maximum two times we were able to acquire Brazilian thanks to Yamaha's afraid to think that we are not able to maintain a bike of this quality.

Too bad that beautiful beast is illegal here in the United States. Stupid emissions laws. Hell they allow us Americans to enjoy the big bad Honda CR500, why shouldn't they let us enjoy the Yamaha RD500.

I just unloaded my fully restored RZ500. WHY? These bikes sound and look like a great idea, but I really never bonded with mine. I would MUCH rather ride my RZ350 or my Kaw H1 or even my little Honda CL175 ! Check them all out @ 2wheelmonster on youtube.

I have on of those and let me tell you this is not the sound to expect- sounds like a 4 stroke and shifting gear does not reflect the tach.
