  • Someone show me a better performance of this Rhapsody! .... Simply amazing !

  • Holy damn is this sped up!? That was insane! Truly magnificent! My jaw dropped at 0:34!

  • Just had the honour of seeing Adam Gyorgy perform such beautiful music tonight! He really is a world-class pianist!

  • 0:26 - 1:07 really technical

  • wonderful XD

  • Free notes of this piece you will find in : FREEMUSICBOOKS . COM (there many notes for free!!!)

  • Good, if somewhat mechanical, playing. I detected a few clunkers in the middle, but hey, this isn't "Chopsticks". LOL

  • I remember watching this on Tom and Jerry. Tom was playing the piano lol

  • Close your eyes and it's so easy to get swept up in it. Just marvellous.

  • HappyWandy457, undoubtly this musician has an hungarian flair to play! His technique is superb: Though his bodysize is tall, he manages to adapt himself to the size of the instrument (piano-keys) so that all what comes from his fingers involves (not evolves) sound ! He is one of the lonely players who puts a piano under his skin, such as Horowitz did . . .

    Hans Fröhlich - Germany

  • What is the audience looking at? I'd be looking at the piano.

  • @AdamHH11 Since they can't see the fingers' movement, they should look to the screen which shows the keyboard from upside!! ;)

  • TOM AND JERRY!!!!! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • that's absolutely beautiful!

  • Does Anyone have sheet music for this piece!!????? please get back to me if you do!! THANKYOU <3

  • @kedwa4123 There are many scores available for this piece available under public domain. Try going to IMSLP "dot" org.

  • Excelente !

  • The most amazing thing is that it looks so effortless.

  • no sheet music

  • Dear God, when I get to heaven, can I play like this guy? wow.

  • superb!!!

  • oh my god his fingers are too fast for the camera .....

  • So beautiful!

For me Hungarian Rhapsody is connected inseparably with T&J The Cat Concerto, which I love watching since childhood by this date.

  • @BCEMCOCATb My first thought too.

  • tom play this music with the feet!

    he is so much better!

  • is there like.. consruction in the background??? :/ haha x

  • Sorry about my last comment, I like that he plays with a ton of passion :-) so does Jung Lin, overall I really prefer her performance :)

  • Mechanical

  • Imagine writing music like this.

    Oh my gawd. :'D

  • ZOMG HOLY CRAP IF ONLY I COULD PLAY LIKE THAT

  • @el6478 only? thats nothing simple

  • 1:50-1:51 !! :´/ seriously tho, awesome version : )

  • reminds me Tom & Jerry

  • chazawaka!

  • are u supposed to clap in unison like that? i get the impression that this is kinda rude?

  • @bigsmall246 the clap in unison means they want the performer to come out for another bow. It's very flattering.

  • damn!!, he's awesome!!

  • Tom and Jerry!

  • Adam Gyorgy the best pianist in the world

  • wow! no words...

  • i just had an image of Tom & Jerry in my head xD

  • I bet the 18 dislikes were from people who had not listened to the entire song.

  • Liszt's pieces are like full oh thrills eh? niceeee

  • My Fav above Creeper dude and Jung. Just wish you did whole peice /:

  • phenomenal!!!! MY GOSH! Superb!

  • good rendition for a someone whose last name is guy orgy

  • ich habe gehört, Franz habe sich eine Liszt ausgedacht.

  • This is Crazy, nonsense, amazing, absolutely perfect.. Lizst!

  • Some phenomenal piano skills.

  • I can see it now 'Piano Hero' would be a funny game, this song on extreme would be impossible, lol

  • Amazing music.

    Fantastic performance.

  • adam is AMAZING!! just love it!!!!

  • Oh my God, look at that... was Liszt a freaking genius or what?

  • Awesome

  • MAKES ME FLY!!

  • some information about Franz Liszt . ..you can find in the book...Miroslav Demko: Franz Liszt, compositeur slovaque (google.books).. just search!

  • wat d'u mean u're proud of him, u either feel happy 4 him or feel proud 4 him

  • @adamgyorgyfranzliszt Yup, telling by your horrific grammar and spelling, you shouldn't be correcting people on what they're saying. By the way, if English is not your native tongue, please don't correct others on their English. The saying is "proud of him," not proud 4 him.

  • wonder if Josef Bulva's way of playing from 3:18 to the end is harder or this is harder

  • Jóóóllessz ez. :)

    It's will bee gooood.. .:)

    Nice performance.

    I'm proud of you!

  • chorei vendo isso *-*

  • franz liszt was a genius!

i practice this piece right now and it is freakin hart! but amazing!

  • I wish people played the section around 3:18 to 3:30. The way Hofman discovered.

    Very nice performance otherwise

  • Amazing! If I can't hear Franz himself this will certainly do!

  • my mind is blown away

    WOW

  • If only Lang Lang played like this. . .Well, he can never play like this. Very clean. No contortions, convulsions.

    Gyorgy looks like Rach, too.

  • f'iing incredible. A gracious endowment, those hands of his. Dammit I envy them.

  • Comment removed

  • he is a giant and has massive hands... reminds me of rach

  • bravo!!! my hat is off to him

  • im waiting for the duck to come out of the piano with a cannon! XD

  • @JohnyBlaze86aimz

    Hahahahah, chipest Edie!!!!

  • @JohnyBlaze86aimz hahahahaahahahaaahahaah wtf!!!!

  • @JohnyBlaze86aimz Probably one of most original and funniest comments I've seen on YT. Pow, flashback!

  • He is hot!

  • Now that was great. This guy played it clean and hard. Best I've heard this done.

  • wow fuckin amazing

  • interesting

  • Gyöyörű játék az egyik legjobb amit hallottam eddig. Gratulálok!

  • Amazing,

    I love it.

    Violette

  • Oh, and his fingers are faster than the framerate of the movie !"#$%&

  • Simply unbelievable! Tis guy mekes me laugh because he is so incredible! I wish I could play like that (<-- keep dreaming :-P)

  • I see one man behind a piano..

but what I hear is a full-sized orchestra.

  • that's usually the kinda music that was written by great composers like lizst

isn't it amazing how they make the piano seem like a universal instrument

  • AWW COME ON, This video deserves more views.

Very impressive playing. Adam Gyorgy is simply amazing!

  • Amen.

  • i think that he has 20 fingers :) just awsome!

  • Amazing piece of music, brilliantly interpreted. I've never heard it played the same way twice.

  • ha ez fasza volt :) drakulalok

  • does anyone know Adam Gyorgy's hand span by any chance?

  • yeah! I think he got a large hand ! u can see it at part 1:20 to 1:25 from A to the other D flat! i think he got a 10 inches span

  • this song is so fun sounding i wish i played good enough to play that

  • This is amazing. I found the sheet music to this piece, and couldn't even read it... simply awesome.

  • Hajrá Ádám!;)

  • I had come online like two hours ago to just listen to some listz. Stumbled arcross the tom and jerry version of this... laughed my ass off.. and began watching all kinds of videos of this exact piece. And this is, by far, the best version of this that I have ever heard in my entire life.

  • Can you not make this slight believeable? How the fuck does a GHOST push someone? Come on!

    P.S I love this :P

  • perfect, wish he'd play the Lassen

  • He did play the lassen. He played the entire rhapsody, but only the last half was uploaded.

If you want the entire piece, you can purchase it online.

  • the one in tom and jerry was edited. this is from the second

  • Tell me, this isn't the second number, it most certainly has to be another one, b/c the second one is the one played in tom and jerry for example. Could anyone please tell me what number this one is? thanks

  • It is number 2, and it is the one "tom and jerry" play

  • All of the Hungarian Rhapsodies are in two parts - the slower Lassan, which you know from Tom and Jerry, and the Friska, which is all that is heard in th video. You catch the end of the Lassan at the very beginning; it for some reason is cut in half. But yes, this is the same song as in Tom and Jerry - watch it all the way through :)

  • wonderfull :D

  • 100k views, nice. Well deserved too.

  • omg perfect

  • Ive watched TONS of versions of these on UTUBE and never found the perfect one. Now I have!!!

  • Love his way of playing the friska. I'm still working on it...

  • very beautiful<33 i love this song<3333

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again: Best rendition of the Friska ever recorded.

  • adam, this what i mean in FB when i said, 'cool piano player'

i wish i was your neighbor!

i said it before, i will say it again

Franz Liszt woud have been very proud of you!

    Great great work!

  • great performance

love how you played this piece

there was one mistake that one person mentioned before me

however...i haven't seen anyone play this as good as you

  • WOW Adam you are great.but hope to see the first part Lassan..well i have vedio on You tube playing this piece too but i played it on degital piano casio not ecoustic but its ok.

  • I think I just saw Shredder sitting in the crowd....

  • This song is included on Project Gotham Racing 3 for the X-BOX 360. After mastering the game listening basically only to this song I was determined to learn how to play this on the piano. Now I have no experience on the piano whatsoever, and after seeing this video I must say that I am never going to learn how to play this on the piano. I thought it would be easy but it looks alot more complex than it sounds. Great tune, loved it overall just a great piece of work. Favorited, I think so.

  • lol u idiot, u wish u could play piano

  • OMG, he is incredible

  • csak így tovább! :):)

  • very much the best. very intense dynamics make 1.06-07 sound little funky. its not wrong though.

  • Best rendition of the Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. Seriously.

  • I hear a tiny mistake at 1:06-07, if I'm correct. But anyway, it's awesome performance!

  • Your ears are much better than mine. I've listened over and over, and cannot hear any error. Not saying there isn't one...just that I can't detect it.

I just wish someone would upload his entire recording of this piece, as this was a shortened version, played as an encore.

  • It would be nice to hear it from the start.

But thanks anyway for posting this.

  • exact

  • I've listened to the other ones of these on YouTube and this is still my favorite performance of this piece.

  • Fuck you, Mikecaffey.

  • When Richard Kastle commits suicide from having been in the closet for years and because he's such a mediocre pianist, will you be first to tell us?

  • i think Adam is one of the best pianist in the world...i just love his songs especially La campanella :D

  • This piece always cracks me up- it's just so inhumanly good, (when played well) that it makes me giddy and I break out laughing at the end :-D

  • Can someone please tell me where can I 'goofle search' "Bitchard Farcel"?

  • IAMINDESPAIR, Really? I thought it was just starting to get fun. I mean listen to him, he's insane :) He sounds like a musical version of a scientologist.

  • i swear to god, i'm gonna mark any comments with "richard kastle" as spam........except this one ;P

  • Oh *disgusted* Mike's still alive, is he? WHEN IS THIS ASSHOLE GONNA LEARN TO SHUT THE MOTHER FUCKIN' FUCK UP?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?? God, I'm so tired of this guy's SHIT.

  • tell ME that too! Gosh, MIKECAFFEY is such a... Ok, we get the idea here... This is just plain dumb, why can't he just let over himself that this guy is not perfect? what an over obsession, he might as well be the biggest fan of that guy, and the only one.

    Since I'm hating him.

  • AWESOME! i wish i could one day play this half as good as he can

  • Okay, this comment will bore you:

    1) Richard Kastle did not play the descending octaves perfectly because that is technically impossible since no one can duplicate Liszt except god.

    2) Mikecaffey stated that Richard Kastle was the great Virtuoso of all times that is wrong since the greatest was Franz Liszt himself his fingers furthest span (from thumb to pinky) is about 11 inches which is insane.

    3) If the any Virtuoso just practiced this song for life, they can play it just like Richard Kaslte.

  • lol great job! I can't so wait to one day punch mikecaffey in the face, preferably his mouth.... Actually take that back, rather punch his hands till they can't type anymore...

Oops, being a bit violent over here.... Perfection is an imaginary idea of idiots like mikecaffey. thats my statement.

  • Actually, Liszt had the span of a 10th -- not 11 inches. His hands were fairly normal size, which makes his virtuosity even more impressive. Rachmaninoff was the one with gigantic hands (a 13th!).

  • Love it... beautiful!!!

  • "Perhaps we don't need perfection.." comment

A low level justification for acceptance of performers who can't seem to master their craft.

This argument implies that incompetent pianists are relevant.

    I don't think so!

  • Boo-urrns, I disagree.

Perfection is never achieved, music is a symbiosis of classical and romantic approaches. What one may view classically perfect can easily fall short in the romantic appeal.

Nonetheless, perfection is like y=1/x, which can be infintialy smaller but never reaching zero.

  • Perfection is never achieved in anything no matter what

  • wow, that was good.

  • @mikecaffey

Perhaps we dont nead perfection but something that sounds proper to us. For an instance, Hamelin is said to be perfect - I say different. His Hyperion Records recording of Scharwenka's 1st is very exaggerated, while Tanyel's - a lot more calmer and sensitive version - sounds more right, more Romantic Era and not so much Kapustin or Bowen-ish.

  • Making excuses won't hide the fact that nobody knows who the hell Kastle is.

  • pffff....do you now how easy to do take afters? i know...very simple. why can't you just say, that he is OK. You don't need to say, that was perfect...just OK. hm?

  • He DOES miss a few notes in that HR2 ending. Even you admitted that once.

  • hey makecaffey, are you the same RichardKastleMusic guy that got banned a couple months ago?

  • No, unlikely.

  • Aww, we all need to be a bit nicer to Richard Kastle/mikecaffey, it's not his fault he doesn't know that he's a halfwit.

If only he knew when to stop talking.

    You poor little man. cuddles.
