@moakhtar use h2tp & 3w in-front of the BBC Link, you know we rejected international aid even on the massive tsunami which hit southern part of India, but rather we concentrated on disaster recovery & also sent aid to other countries. The international community praised India for excellent rehabilitation work done in India, but see what is happening in Pakistan still the flood or earth quake victims are not rehabilitated in Pakistan - I am not saying this. it's there in recent BBC article..

@moakhtar Google gave mostly good info!! & BBC says "Gujarat's recovery 10 years after earthquake" This is one of India's richest states & has been helped by its people's close connections overseas.But the unique way in which it has partnered govet with local and international help has certainly contributed to its rapid recovery.The transformation has been so successful that the methods employed in Guja are being used as a template for relief and reconstruction in other disaster-affected areas.

@moakhtar Poor are there in all countries, even in the economic might USA there is section of people who is in poverty & starve. We don't have magic wand to wipe the poverty out of India overnight, but on the other hand after 1991 in the past 20 years we have lifted a huge section of population out of poverty. The whole world look at India & China with amazement for growing so fast in short span of time.You can only pledge, but we Indians give - example India's $5 million Pak flood relief help

@moakhtar One thing sure you guys don't have any achievements to show for your country, so you can't see any good things happening India, tell me one country where there no poverty...I am aware about the malnutrition issue of Indian kids, but as per UN "List of countries by percentage of population suffering from undernourishment" In 2004-06 - India 22% but Pakistan is 23%, as per 1990-92 - India 24% but Pakistan is 22%, if you see this UN data we have improved but you are going bad...

@moakhtar I didn't learn this in school, yourself can check this statics in UN records...by the way the record I have give is for the year 2004-06 but India has become economically lot better during the past 5 years...I am not saying that India is a paradise but for sure much much better compared to twenty years back, youtube itself having hundreds of videos regarding India's massive development, almost all major cites have metro projects going on and many more new world class airports built...

@moakhtar Every year India produce more Engineers then super power USA, also India is the largest producer in the world of milk, cashew nuts, coconuts, tea, ginger, turmeric and black pepper, and has the world's largest cattle population (193 million), second largest producer of wheat, rice, sugar, groundnut and inland fish.It doesn't mean India is ahead of USA...same way India's population is second largest in the world and ultimately we will also have one of the largest poor living in India...

It's funny how people think Karachi should be the capital of Pakistan only because it is the financial hub of the country. Yes Karachi is where all the money comes from but that does not mean that it should be the capital. Islamabad was made to be the capital for security reasons and it makes sense to have the government in one place with all the diplomats in a safer setting. UAE's financial capital is Dubai, but Abu Dhabi is the capital - no one in UAE whines about that
