  • One of my favorite scenes from one of my fave movies with the legendary, grande dame & philanthropic brilliant talent , Audrey Hepburn. Respect

  • I have wanted to see this eversens I saw a commercial use it way back when. I liked it!

  • awesome

  • Jackson copied the dance: PP And they said that it was Michael. I love Audrey, she's beautiful <3

  • This was stolen in Whitney Houston's video for "I'm Your Baby Tonight". However, I'm sure that Whitney had no idea who Audrey Hepburn even was.

  • While I won't claim to be familiar with all of Audrey's works, I'm definitely familiar with this one. Even with her more celebrated movies, this one is still my favorite.

    You never forget your first.

  • I knew that Audrey was a great actress, but I had no idea that she could dance so good until I saw a trailer of this film that included a part of this dance sequence. Now I'm even MORE inspired by her.

  • queen of the dance floor

  • ICONIC

  • I love how she landed in the women's laps and they just continue to talk to each other casually.

  • this is crazy. but you know what? i love it! :D

  • She's way to damn adorable for a grown woman lol

  • Timeless. Beautiful. Perfect.

  • Thanks

  • What the heck? a few months ago most of the comments were about how good the video is, now it's " Beyonce brought me here"

  • does anybody know the song perhaps?

  • @diamondxlucy It's called "Basal Metabolism" on the Funny Face OST.

  • @MinishMoosen thank you, dear!!

  • Michael Jackson totes stole his look from Audrey in this movie!! (sokay, MJ, I understand)

  • Its true...White people cant dance

  • @yakshii Yes.... That's why i have never seen a black ballerina ;)

  • @castelproof what is that supposed to mean?

  • @castelproof DANCE IS A FORM OF EXPRESSION FOR EVERYBODY!! :D

  • Gosh what I would do to meet a woman like Audrey Hepburn.

  • Lord&Taylor

  • Audrey!!!!!!!!!! :) I didn't get here by watching some other video.. specifically looked this up. :p

  • well, i have never seen beyonce's vid, but a world and olympic gold medal winning ice dance couple brought me to this vid because of their cute long program to this movie. ;)

  • Beyonce is nothing like Audrey Hepburn, and believe me when I say: that's a compliment to Audrey.

  • If you love Audrey and/or Beyonce you'll love the tribute video on my page....

  • My love for the beautiful and extremely talented Audrey Hepburn brought me here, NOT Beyonce.

  • I Love Beyonce and now I love Audrey Hepburn too! lol

  • It's a sad day when people have only seen this thanks to beyonce's video. Funny face is a classic film!

  • Thanks Beyoncé ;)

  • @IWatchedTheThrone How old are you?

  • Thumbs up if Beyonce's new video Countdown brought you here!

  • @lordsxman a week later... I don't think so.

  • yeah i did this dance at the club, got kicked out

i guess audrey just does it better ;)

  • The greatest dance scene in movie history. Thanks.

  • Beyonce is wonderful and talented artist. It was great of her to pay homage to the great Audrey Hepburn! When someone pays homage, its a beautiful thing. It means they were inspired. 'Copycat' is a kindergarten term when someone is coloring their dog like yours -_-

  • omg if beyonce copied it she would've copied it looking like beyonce, not dressed up as audry hepburn. DURH

  • @pwiincessleah263 Uh no. Every time Beyonce pays "homage" to legendary artists she copies everything right down to the T. That's why she gets on my damn nerves.

  • @TAEchelon *rolls eyes* Well get over it, she doesn't do everything to please YOU

  • Whitney Houston also did a version of this in her video for "I'm Your Baby Tonight." My fav Whitney song.

  • Beyonce is nothing compared to Audrey Hepburn!

  • Beyonce brought me here.

  • Like if you came here because of Beyonce!

  • @thedclova And I never saw this beautiful video, thankfully Beyoncé makes me learn a lot too with all those great references.

  • Beyonce didn't copy it she just thought it was a creative routine and used it. Everybody does it! :-(

  • BEYONCE JUST COPIED THIS SHIT UNORIGINAL BITCH

  • @KERIFEMALEMJ It was ment as an homage I'm sure. It was a cute video. I still prefer the original as a whole though ;-)

  • i think michael jackson got some socks and moves from her

  • whitney made a homage in her MV i'm your baby tonight.

  • @hkradish TEACH! and Janet paid homage to Cyd Charisse in "All Night" ICONS know how to bow too....

  • I wasnt born anytime around this, but after I saw that gap comercial of her I just had to see the real thing. This is amazing!!!! 8D

  • This is how I dance every day. XDD Oh, Audrey, you're the best.

  • when would this ever happen at a bar?

  • This is my favorite scene in this movie!! :)

  • greatest dance scene in film history.

  • What type of dance is that? It looks like tap mixed with balle.

  • so adorable<3:)

  • Shit! She's so skinny! As skinny as Keira Knightley! Anyway, Great dance!

  • Best Dance Ever!!!!!!!!! Her face Makes it! haha

  • u know what??? I think Michael Jackson copied her..XD(just a crazy idea)

  • @916Ting She was furious when she found out that they want her to dance in white socks, she needed looong time to say yes to it ;)

  • @916Ting well he did watch all of fred astaires movies :) he studied them actually. band wagon ( smooth criminal)

  • @916Ting I was thinking the same thing.

  • @916Ting LOL, I was thinking the exact same thing! I mean, the white socks and black loafers immediately made me think of him. It's amazing how both of them managed to dance in loafers. I've got loafers, but my feet feel so uncomfortable in them that I don't think I could ever dance well in them.

  • worst dance ever

  • The first part is like representing passion, even craziness.

0:39 a slower tempo, with seductive moves

1:48 there starts a funnier and happier part, almost typical Broadway-like. I like this one most.

She had such a slender figure, so well fitted for these dances... Seeing her with Astaire was a delight in this movie. It was also a great delight for her, because she wanted so much to dance with him, that she practiced very hard for hours to be able to reach him. Love you Audrey!

  • the absolute ridiculousness of the first 15 seconds continually cracks me up

  • i love you audrey <3<3<3

  • Gosh, I love her.

  • 2:35 - 2:41 some fantastic moves there!

I LOVE the whole dance sequence.

  • We never had on heart such a level of perfection in just one person since her, and we'll never have. Hope you're in peace Audrey <3

  • wow, this is just so......so sexy.....

  • i love this so much!!!

  • Love it!! I love Funny Face, it's one of my favorite Audrey movies!

And I love how Fred Astaire is like, "What are you doing?"

  • I love Audrey Hepburn.

There's not a woman left like her.

  • zero dislikes!

  • look at that white socks and black shoes. can it be? Michael Jackson was inspired by Audrey Hepburn?

  • @gray2607

    Probably!

Audrey didn't want to wear the white socks at first because it broke up the lines of her outfit but director Stanley Donen insisted she did and he turned out to be right. You immediately focus on her feet and what they're doing.

  • @gray2607 You have a very good point!!!

  • @AuchnotOuch hehehe...i just love her!!

  • Notice how no hasn't disliked this video

  • Her smile makes it!

  • My favourite dance sequence of the film :)

  • I rather feel like expressing myself now... and I could certainly use a release

Well I say... So What! LOL

  • Love Aurdrey Hepcat now-child of the gone world!

  • Absolutely brilliant. Audre was a wonderful dancer and you can actually see glympses of her ballet training in this. She was a very beautiful woman.

  • Audrey Hepburn=prettiest woman that ever walked this earth. If you don't like her, you don't like anything

  • When you've got Fred Astaire involved, then you really know the whole "beatnick" trend has been commerialized. whatever. it's not bad, it's just fake.

  • @surfetnies HA--true, but I'm fairly sure nobody loves this for its authentic representation of beatniks!

  • This is one of my all time favorite scenes, in any film. I remember wanting to be transported to that cool beatnik cafe in that era and BE her doing this dance :-))

  • Very very nice :3

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • I wish this scene existed in HD in a non-foggy room so much!

  • HA id like to see angelina jolie or cameron diaz pull this off

  • @powerfulpowerzz . . . they are not dancers! audrey hepburn was brilliant!

  • @powerfulpowerzz Ha Ha! I would like to see Mylie Cyrus pull this off.

Or should I not even go there?

  • @Juliaflo Please don't pollute the forum by mentioning her.

  • i love this dance and her best dance scene ever

  • This dance once again proves that Fred Astaire was a genius. He created a "modern" dance for all ages. Over 50 years have passed since this movie was made and this scene still looks remarkably modernistic.

  • well she's no fred astaire... :D lol but this dance style fits her well

  • Audrey is perfection!!!

  • There's just something so special and wonderous about seeing Audrey dance. I don't know.

  • @kyrieeleison1 she had the most amazing spirit and energy . . . that's what comes shining through

  • @pallypoo123

She's well before my time but I respect the actors and actresses of those days; they had talent (REAL TALENT). Not to mention, she's very beautiful.

  • Great number. Very Jack Cole-jazz like.

  • Favorite Audrey Hepburn scene!!! Thank you!!

  • @TheHahaha15 You're welcome!

  • @TheHahaha15 mine too! i love this film!

  • "As a matter of fact, I rather feel like expressing myself now, and I can certainly use the release!"

    Phenomenal dance sequence!!!
