While I won't claim to be familiar with all of Audrey's works, I'm definitely familiar with this one. Even with her more celebrated movies, this one is still my favorite.
I knew that Audrey was a great actress, but I had no idea that she could dance so good until I saw a trailer of this film that included a part of this dance sequence. Now I'm even MORE inspired by her.
well, i have never seen beyonce's vid, but a world and olympic gold medal winning ice dance couple brought me to this vid because of their cute long program to this movie. ;)
Beyonce is wonderful and talented artist. It was great of her to pay homage to the great Audrey Hepburn! When someone pays homage, its a beautiful thing. It means they were inspired. 'Copycat' is a kindergarten term when someone is coloring their dog like yours -_-
@pwiincessleah263 Uh no. Every time Beyonce pays "homage" to legendary artists she copies everything right down to the T. That's why she gets on my damn nerves.
@916Ting LOL, I was thinking the exact same thing! I mean, the white socks and black loafers immediately made me think of him. It's amazing how both of them managed to dance in loafers. I've got loafers, but my feet feel so uncomfortable in them that I don't think I could ever dance well in them.
1:48 there starts a funnier and happier part, almost typical Broadway-like. I like this one most.
She had such a slender figure, so well fitted for these dances... Seeing her with Astaire was a delight in this movie. It was also a great delight for her, because she wanted so much to dance with him, that she practiced very hard for hours to be able to reach him. Love you Audrey!
Audrey didn't want to wear the white socks at first because it broke up the lines of her outfit but director Stanley Donen insisted she did and he turned out to be right. You immediately focus on her feet and what they're doing.
When you've got Fred Astaire involved, then you really know the whole "beatnick" trend has been commerialized. whatever. it's not bad, it's just fake.
This is one of my all time favorite scenes, in any film. I remember wanting to be transported to that cool beatnik cafe in that era and BE her doing this dance :-))
This dance once again proves that Fred Astaire was a genius. He created a "modern" dance for all ages. Over 50 years have passed since this movie was made and this scene still looks remarkably modernistic.
One of my favorite scenes from one of my fave movies with the legendary, grande dame & philanthropic brilliant talent , Audrey Hepburn. Respect

This was stolen in Whitney Houston's video for "I'm Your Baby Tonight". However, I'm sure that Whitney had no idea who Audrey Hepburn even was.

The first part is like representing passion, even craziness.
0:39 a slower tempo, with seductive moves
1:48 there starts a funnier and happier part, almost typical Broadway-like. I like this one most.
