They actually lost to Wisconsin both years not MN teams. Beat every MN team this year. They didn't win elite league cos they're not allowed in the play off weekend !!!! Beat elite all star, all star team 5-3 this year. Shattuck were winning 4-0 at the end of the 2nd and someone decided to stop the game for 45 minutes. So you are wrong. It's only people in MN who think high school hockey is any good.Send Edina, EP or Duluth to Detroit, Chicago or Denver and they'd get beat like a drum !!!
@lewis2465 The fact is Edina, EP, or Duluth East are comprised of kids from one zip code, these midget teams have players from multiple states and countries, not a fair comparison. Now, send Edina, EP, or Duluth East against a HS team from Detroit, Chicago, or Denver and let's see who gets their asses kicked?
According to SSM's record, you lost to regional MN Midwest Elite League teams a few times in 2010-2011.
You realize these are teams comprised of MN HS players from around the Twin Cities.
You pretty much beat everyone else on your schedule except the Twin Cities area fall elite league teams..teams comprised of kids playing in a fall league who then go on to play on their local HS teams. In fact, you didnt even win the local elite league championship, yet won the AAA national title LOL
That's funny MNhockeyfan, because they beat every MN Elite team (high school all star team) they played this year and last year. The team that won the league last year in MN they beat 8-0,this year 5-0. They also beat the MN high all star, all star team 5-3 in the Nike Bauer Final. To win the national championship they beat all the best AAA teams in the country, not like the garbage AAA teams and high school teams you have up there in the MN !! Who's really playing in the irrelevant league ?
@lewis2465 most of the "Garbage" HS teams in MN are better than the majority of the AAA teams nationwide. AAA isnt emphasized in MN because we send our kids to the USHL, NAHL or NCAA rather than AAA
I'm guessing a team comprised of the best HS players in MN would fare well against Shattuck or any AAA team given time to practice and be a "team"
It's been awhile since Sidney Crosby suited up down in Fairbault
I've seen bigger crowds at a mid-season pee wee tourney in Minnesota. What a joke. Work THAT hard all year and your reward is to play a title game in front of about 50 people? I would never play in such an irrelevant league.
@mnhockeyfan As an alum of Shattuck I can tell you that It's the personal accomplishments of achieving a goal set at the beginning of the season that far outweigh the size of a crowd.
90% of all Prep Hockey players at Shattuck go on to play in the USHL, AHL, NHL, NAHL, and various other hockey leagues around the world.
@SlapShotBW23 The State Tourney is the Show. Herb Brooks said going to state was his greatest memory. Gino Guyer, after winning a college national title said that was almost as good as winning a section final in high school.

@mnhockeyfan You're a little to caught up in showmanship. Just play the game, win and do your best no matter how big the crowd is. It's not the show.
