@Milamberas45 No, a true artist takes something simple and adds layers of beauty to it. To really see true art you have to stop and absorb the emotion, you cannot simply walk by. Example, Justin Beiber is NOT an artist Where Tuomas (the composer of this song) IS an artist. Beibers music is hollow and cliched. Tuomas' music is FULL of emotion that is not only in words spoken but tones heard.

Yet, they are not my favorite bands they inspired me in my choice to do Symphonic Metal my favorite bands are The Used, Kamelot, Slipknot, Disturbed, EndeverafteR, Panic!, HIM, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, and Queens of the Stone Age, and yes i guess i would add Epica and Nightwish too, but Kamelot of all bands are my favorites.

Okay I fell in love with Nightwish since Tarja, Anette does have a pleasent voice but there are parts I feel she screeches or doesn't vocalize enough...Tarja's transitions was much more smoother and less horrible on the ears, I do support the new Nightwish...but I still have my reservations.

I've been a deaf moron. I used to be under the impression that Wishmaster and Bye Bye Beautiful were the best Nightwish songs...I just couldn't be more wrong! This is the best Nightwish song ever. The lyrics and vocals, the grandiose choir and orchestra, and the mind blowing solos. The most incredible part is just how memorable and distinguishable every part of this song is. Beautiful and brilliant 13 minute epic.

@fluoroscopie that childish voice is one of the things that helps nightwish distinguish itself from every other symphonic metal band that all sound the same, like delain, within temptation, epica, etc. They do things their own way. That voice has to be there for the song to be real. Have you read the lyrics? Nothing else could possibly be appropriate there. And I feel that the child being slightly out of tune just makes it even more real. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, just saying.

Of course I heard Rhapsody and you cannot compare with TPTP.They have sometimes big/loud orchestration but inside simpler.Everything at the same time or very loud strings/or even keys is attractive for listeners but more typical.When we compare the complexity of usage of brass section TPTP has no rival.The orchestration is multi-track and "multidimensional",some parts barely heard.NW use LONDON ORCHESTRA in bit more advanced way especially brass section.

The orchestration is purely divine. However, I believe Tarja's voice would have suited this piece better, as many other 2005+ songs. Even if the actual Nightwish is never going to reach it's full potential now, it still has amazing musicians and remains one of the best bands.

At the time, I didn't know anything about the vocalist change, so when I was searching for more and came across one of the older songs with Tarja - I don't know what it is, but I just didn't like it and still don't.
