go to "spirit sounds of Gettysburg" for the REAL MCcoy sounds caught of musket fire, cannons going off and people yelling- one a reb yelling..."let's go boy's" when the lady video taping was there at 7 am - on a November morning.
Best video to date yet of paranormal sound prints of the past.
most of the cs troops do not like to die on the second battle we were over run be cuse the cs troops fired paper wods at us and hurt a lote of us that way 30 digry durns are not that good and thay and thay moved troops when know body was supoust to move but the rebs lost the yeling war me and all oft the solders on the right yelde michigan !!!
45th Alabama, I'm from Atlanta.. we had a real casualty during the charge. the Emmittsburg "road" was really a creek and our colonel hopped into it, tripped, fell on his sword and gashed his head open. 6 stitches and 2 staples worth. his uniform looks good now though, real blood!
The major of my battalion got hit in the eye with the end of a rail when we were ordered to take the fence apart. The real fence was much shorter than the one at the 145th. The Redding farm fence's posts were over six feet tall.
that was my first reenactment and it could not have been any better. Rebles all the way. Awsom day ,n but that "creek" didnt really help things out for us.
man if this was your first reenactment... yes it had to blow your mind but unfortunately 99% of the other reenactments you'll do will have only 300 people or so... But wow what a first experience. I've been reenacting for 18 years and this blew my mind.
It was actually not this bad this year! A lot of us who went to At High Tide and believe it or not some campainger regiments participated. I enjoyed this event far better than the 135th, although it was interesting to see the numbers 10 years ago. By far my favorite "mainstream" event I've done in quite sometime. I tend to stick with McDowell and other events!
Hmmmmn...,I am also a Private in the 4th Ohio Volunteer Infantry,Company B. Whom might you be?
Yes..,thank you grievousguy64 for putting up this video.Despite the weather this reenactment was a humdinger! Friends and memories made this weekend. Will be talked about for some time...

OMG that is amazing. How many people are there firing at one another? That must be really fun to be there, especially to participate.

All that gun fire and nobody dropping to the ground, not a very realistic battle...

You stand where we did... And you don't think about dropping out. You want to make it across that wall and nothing else matters.

Anyone see the damn irish Brigade dude that ran for the flag, that really pissed me off. I was about to smack him with my musket.
Good times though, good times, except crossing that "creek", I mean sewage run-off.
