In his comment section, he essentially argues that if any evolutionary scientist has ever lied, that proves evolution is false. I left a comment asking if that applies to Christianity? For a long time it was believed that the "poison effects" of a komodo bite were due to the bacteria in their saliva. It can create a condition similar to sepsis when someone is bitten. Awhile back someone discovered that they did in fact have venom glands. However not everyone is convinced that the venom is released in a bite. So it's not shocking that you were corrected, this is still new

@Atheistprimate He is a theoretical physicist. Though I agree he is not to be taken lightly, and I may well be biased toward experimental physics, as this is my field, it is still a theoretical model not supported by evidence.

We can't actually know what was before or even at the very beginning of the big bang because no information made it to us. So I don't actually have any counter argument other than he may be right but he is most likely wrong.
