This is incredibly not true and is misapplying information to cry bias. The bulldogs in the US are just as messed up and sad as the bulldogs in the UK. Feel free to look at the breed clubs and shows here. They are just as squat, fat and malformed. They can not properly mate, give birth or breath just the same as the video describes the UK dogs.

I do show/ hunt my dog, I also have several rescued dogs. Not all show/ hunters are like the people described in this video, I would never ask my dog to perform if she was unfit, or refuse medical treatment (like an OHE due to a pyometra) because it would ruin her show career. Not only there, many breeders don't even seem to care that even their bitches show lack of parental care. Worse enough that seemingly the majority of the males don't do it any longer. Your dog was the exception to the rule. A wild animal should not be treated like a domesticated one. Wolves by nature are extremely fearful of man and hence can very easily become fear biters. Your dog not included I would, as would most experts, always advice against taking a wild animal out of its natural state. Only novices on dogs and wolves think it a good idea to have them as pets. Speak to any true wolf expert and he will tell you to leave these noble creatures be.

I have nothing against pitbulls . Just the BS that sorrounds them. I have owned pitbulls. They do have health problems. The only dog without health problems is the Vesla not sure on the spelling. I had pitbull puupies about three years ago found that some of the puppies grew up to develop HD. Had my dog tested no problems. They stud was tested and he had a herdetary disease that caused HD. If the pitbull was gone the same assholes who are responsible for bad pitbull press will get another breed of dog. Before the pitbull it was the rottweiler, before that it was the doberman, before that it was the GSD.

There are 180 million dogs in the US and we have on the average 20 deaths a year due to dog related attacks. Most of these attacks are committed by family dogs such as the Golden Retriever. The amount of deaths caused by Pitbulls are less than 1 percent of one percent. If you think that 20 deaths is a lot know that 100 people die every year

Of course Pitbulls can be sweet & affectionate, but that doesn't change the fact they are dog aggressive & people should know that. There isn't anything wrong with a dog not wanting to play with other dogs. I wish there were more reputable breeders out there to educate people who adopt/purchase Pits because that is part of where the bad rap comes from. It's not the Pits fault for being bred with a certain instinct but the ignorance of owners for not educating themselves on their chosen breed.

Different breeds have different traits which may or may not be suited for certain people.

If you want to be the proud parent of Pitbull make sure you make it a one dog household and make sure he or she is on a leash whenever other dogs are around.
