Very good documentary. Anyway, I've read these similar things over 30 yrs ago and the fingers pointed out to some hard liner British politicians & their slave U Saw. Gen Aung San is independent hero & architecture of Burma. Aunty Suu is democracy hero of Burma. Some of the Burmese recently wisted the history that Gen Aung San is communist etc. In fact, he wasn't communist.
Dude!!! Second chance doesn't exist in her hands. It's in our public hands. But even though it's still in our hands, we can't catch that chance because of our FEAR!! That's why Suu Kyi keep saying about Freedom From Fear to public. And that ,The Freedom From Fear, is the way for our second chance
What ever he did or how ever he did it, Burma WAS free from Colonialism for a moment because of Gen. Aung San; that in itself was great enough. The British government of course didn't like 'the' general who was planning to liberate us from their slavery, after all- to them, we're just creatures..regardless of our kingdoms, languages, literature, etc.
In a way, it must be karma that Aung San missed the chance to take his beloved nation to where he wanted to take it to because of what he did to the Karen ethnic people in 1942 (If he didn't, they probably would have finished him but still..). The general prevalant, though hidden, mentality toward the Muslims in Burma among the Burmans as well as Karen could very well be resulting in their karma of being oppressed by the thugs of Burma known as Junta.
Once, I was told that Aung San was assasinated because he was leaning toward communism. Now, I know the truth that he was not and that he was assassinated primarily out of revenge. The people who did this to him did not care at all how their conspiracy would affect millions of human being in Burma. That's just low if you ask me. U saw was dumb to aid those people. I guess he was power hungry instead of realizing that his days were over. Typical colonial slave.
American media was reporting of Ireq invasion and George W. Bush as American Churchill...left me speechless. I guessed moslems are not found of churchill nor George W.Bush at all. Thank you for these video, it was very informative.
