strange. when my belt on my atlantis sounded like shit right before it chewed up, it wasnt a whistle.. it was more like a train. it sounded like so much more and was absolutely terrifying when it was mid-ride. new belt and a complete, thorough clean of the variator/clutch solved the problem. and yes with mine, it was at its worst when it sat in the cold and was ridden in the rain, and it happened most times at coming to a stop or idling.

no 70cc kit, just derestricted the bike (it had a variator restriction) and the exhaust pipe was changed by the previous owner, and the bike was rejetted

no 70cc kit, just derestricted the bike (it had a variator restriction) and the exhaust pipe was changed by the previous owner, and the bike was rejetted

I think you're right as well. Seems to only do this when the bike's been sitting a while during the rain.
