Those things do get hilarious sometimes. My bro's girlfriend had her son's class send us all cards and one of them said (true story): "Dear Marines, I hope you don't die". LOL, we all laughed and said well that makes 2 of us, at least. They do make you feel good, tho.

Who is there to keep THEIR lives safe? Innocent people are dying everyday. They don't deserve this. If an American citizen would die like this in war, there would be a huge law-case filed against it. Think about the Iraqis, where women and children are dying everyday.
I do not support Saddam Hussein in anyway. He was a horrible, too. The genocides of the Kurds and the crimes against humanity all speak about him being a bad leader. Even if U.S. wanted to "help" Iraq, why in this way? First of all, they had no right to enter into a country, execute it's leader, even if he was wrong. What good are you possibly doing by killing innocent civillians? Good can be done in many other ways; charity, money, education, etc.
Here's the thing, charity and money didn't help one bit. Saddam used it to buy weapons. We didn't go there to help Iraq, nor do we fight by killing civilians. We went there because our intelligence suggested that Saddam was lying about not having WMDs and we don't like the idea of a genocidal madman having them, so America (not just Bush, but Congress as well) decided to invade.
