i oppose corpral punishment but its not governments job to enforce my morality. we as a people should end corpral punishment without government help. schools should definetly get permission first tho.
In the U.S.A. it is illegal to hit/strike your neighbor with your hand, a stick, a belt, a rod or any other object. It is called battering and it is a criminal and civil offense. Why is it LEGAL to hit/strike a child?

This has to be the gayest cause I've ever heard of. Can't we find something else for rich people to complain about. Corporal punishment should be used on children below the age of 15 because after that age it becomes assault insted of a apporiate form of punishement.

I'm not sure how I feel about this campaign. Mr. Marc Ecko, I'm sure it's been forever since you've been in high school,Middle School or Elementary, so if only you knew what these kids do on an everyday basis now that the govt. has taken away so many Disciplinary rights from teachers. And I'm not talking about hitting here.
This generation of kids don't need disciplining, they need to get the **** knocked out of them or maybe their parents need the disciplining.
@ejicon Nowhere does Mr. Marc Ecko or me say that discipline should be removed from schools, its paddling and hitting kids that should be removed. There are alternatives, students do not need to be paddled. And besides when paddling is allowed there are so many teachers that abuse it (aside from the fact that paddling itself is abuse), students are paddled for such minor infractions as being late to class and not having their shirts tucked in.

There is never any excuses for abusing anyone: whether it be a child, an adult or even an animal.I attended an elementary school with a teacher that would spank our hands with rulers if we misbehaved. I use to call them love spanks because she didn't hit too hard but I knew if I ever Messed up, that's what I would get.
Dont use the paddle, USE THE BELT!
Overall, dont hurt any child, unless it becomes uncontrollable, just call the cops.
