that looks more uncomfortable than my gsxr, have you ridden it long distance,if so, could you walk when you got off the bike and do you get arm pump ?
It might look like it (it looked like it to me before I bought it too) but it turns out that it isn't uncomfortable at all. Not sure why, but my arms never got tired due to the apes. The only thing that was tough on long trips (I only took a couple and they weren't even truly long trips, just long for that thing) was a sore back.
Your GSXR is one of the most uncomfortable bikes I've ridden. Even the R1 I had at the same time I had this bike was much more uncomfortable than this.
I live in AZ and that's the law here too: shoulder-height. It's a state-to-state thing. However, the cops here don't seem to give a shit about ape hangers or loud pipes. They never mess with anyone unless they're causing trouble maybe. What state do you live in?

No. The socks are an American thing - striped tube socks. Very popular in the late 70s/early 80s and now it's just a retro thing that skaters, etc wear. I rarely ever wear them and didn't think I'd have so many people focusing more on my clothes than the bike when watching this clip. I wish I had shot this video wearing my no-shows (socks). Oh, well...
I'm 6'2" and I found the frame plenty long. But... I now ride a Triumph Speed Triple and while it's a little cramped, I have sort of always been used to being a little more confined than shorter guys are. I know no other way. :-)

straight pipes are nice for about 2 hours. Then its like SHUT THE #(#*!!! UP ALREADY!!!!
And yeh, that's from personal experience.

No. The socks are an American thing - striped tube socks. Very popular in the late 70s/early 80s and now it's just a retro thing that skaters, etc wear. I rarely ever wear them and didn't think I'd have so many people focusing more on my clothes than the bike when watching this clip. I wish I had shot this video wearing my no-shows (socks). Oh, well...

I'm 6'2" and I found the frame plenty long. But... I now ride a Triumph Speed Triple and while it's a little cramped, I have sort of always been used to being a little more confined than shorter guys are. I know no other way. :-)

@BatteryPoweredLove3 well it looks really awkward riding position me I would have them angled more towards the body. That handle bars is what was used to be called ape hangers. I suppose its an early version of the 60,s chopper am I right? BTW what is a bobber?
