final cut pro x is much better than people make it out to be. the slow motion ALSO depends on the camera you're using. if you have a camera going at 24 fps, then good luck making that super slowmotion cuz it'll look choppy. not sure what the camera in this is going that, though i know mine is going at a solid 60 fps, which helps a great deal with slow motion
@freeskier105 that is actually just a built in effect in fcpx. its called "quick flash/spin' and allows you to adjust the amount of zoom and spin etc.
it breaks when image has motion blur (not to eliminate)... it is similar to frame creation pro in Panasonic Viera Plasma TV... when is fog or fast moving object it breact and cannot morph frames corectly :) but great feature :) cool video :)
@BrainSpecialist Thanks your totally right, I shot at 30 cause I didnt originally know I was going to be slowing it down but next time im planning to do a slow motion shoot I will definitely shoot around 60, thanks for the tip!
@huntersiede Did you shoot this at 25/30 fps or 50/60 fps? The ripples look like you tried to film this at regular speed and then slow it down, if you shoot at 50/60 and then slow that down the effect looks great.
@410MaXiMuS On the far right side of the center grey toolbar next to the little magic wand button there is a time button that has a little half circle symbol, if you open the drop down on that and go to video quality you can then choose frame blending or optical flow!
@GustavsRe Thanks! That effect is actually a really simple one that looks great built into fcp x. Under the lights category in the video effects there is one called "Quick Flash/Spin" that automatically adds the zooming and flashing effect. From there you can decide the intensity of the zooming and spinning, really simple yet effective!
Hey, i realy enjoyed the effect on 0:30. Kept on watching it over and over again.
Can you explain to me how you did it. I mean, is it the same clip just Pan/Croped aka zoomed? Because it gives the impresion that it's shoot from different angles after each zoom/Pulse .
@lababli Thanks a lot I really appreciate it. And yes all the editing and effects were done using just fcp x. If you alter the speed of a clip and use optical flow as the video quality it has a really nice smooth effect.
Ok that person running in the screen is gorgeous xD

@poetsguide Thanks, and yeah the ripples were from the rolling shutter and optical flow and i wasn't sure exactly how to get rid of them.

Good video but some artifacts on certain areas. For example the ripples on the side of the runner at around 0:49

This was really glitchy, but still awesome. The glitches almost looked stylish. What shutter speed did you use?
