  • at 0:49 you can see jacob

  • right at :53 you can see the eye that hurley sees when he looks into the cabin in the next season

  • that is the Man In Black

  • creepy

  • ilana even said that Jacob hadn't been to the cabin in a long time, so it was occupied by mib (who then was using christians body, before he took lockes body...

  • It's the smoke man.. the cabin was surrounded by ash so he couldn't get out.

  • it actually looks like Flocke if you look closley (fake locke aka mib)... also it looks abit like christian maybe again mib?

  • I thought that could've been Dogen but he's dead so it's not him

  • Its not either Jacob or MIB. Its someone else. We now know that theres a child running around the island so who knows

  • It's the black smoke man who was trapped in the cabin for sometime......the evidence is in season 5....go back and see.

  • I have the answer jacob is chuck norris, its not obvius XD lol

  • that the 'man in black' who talks with jacob when the blackrock is arriving is taking on the forms of many dead things, but that contradicts when claire saw Walt in the forest.

Anyways, the 'man in black' can not physically harm jacob, but he can harm anyone else. So he makes a scheme and manipulates all the people on the island in such a fashion that Jacob is killed in the end.

The irony is that Ben Linus who we see as a puppet master is actually the one being puppeted to the fullest extent.

  • @1jawsus1

maybe people dont have to be dead for him to take on other peoples shape. But its all really sad that Jacob was killed. They try to get you to start sympathising for Jacob when the ABC people show him visiting the Oceanic Flight 815 people before they arrived. What do you think will happen now Jacob was stabbed an thrown into the fire.

  • retard. lol

  • How the hell is it a fake?

  • well in season 5 finale when ilana and her crew enter the cabin she says someone has been using it for a long time. so i think the guy who sits on the chair is not jacob. its his enemy. jacob lives in the four toed statue.

  • Has anyone considered that the Jacob scenes are maybe flash forwards?

  • err... ben killed him in the end of series 5, and also that ship in the background looked like the Black rock.

  • @Joshinator2008

not true the guy sitting on the chair issent jacob of the end of season 5 atall, also the eyes are very different on this video theyr brown/black and jacob of end of season 5 has blue eyes.

  • yeah dude maybe you should change the title. it's not jacob in that chair...

  • its actualy Christian in the chair

  • ok....so if that was jacobs nemesis in lockes form, then surely everything has happened before. unless there was never a john locke it was jacobs nemesis all along. i think his name will be edward. how can jacobs nemesis be in that chair as john locke when locke hasnt died yet.

  • I think you're confusing yourself. Jacob's nemesis is in the chair, but he hadn't taken Locke's form yet.

  • i thought that was john locke in that chair, but it was jacobs nemesis, loophole guy.

  • so thats not really jacob. its jacobs nemesis

    black shirt dude

  • Its not jacob - i think you should change the title :D

Reply to me if you want me to explain why

  • I would like to know why...

  • explain.

  • Jacob is probably related to Richard

  • if you pause it at 50 seconds exact you can see who's in the chair

  • so that kate will tie into this arguement but like we didn't already see that coming. now when you said that jacobs rival was only taking form of christan you are wrong. remember that he also took form of the horse that kate saw alex for ben and also charlie for hurley. How that will affect the story I do not know yet. now when christan was talking to clarie he was probaly walking her into some sort of trap so she could die and he could take the form of her body so that is that

  • Or perhaps Werido #9 can take the form of living people as well, but only in the dreams of a person.

  • Aron is most probably Jacob.

  • jack will become jacob

  • so it all takes place now in the last season and the only reason why the man in the cabin said help me was the fact that he knew that only locke would be able to request a presence with jacob. Now he could have been in line with ben and told him to kill Locke so that jacob would die :( this would also explain why ben could summon the smoke monster something that is supposed to be jacob's rivals job. if you are reading this go down a few comments to see the beginning :)

  • quality mate

  • it seems that the island is most defintitly egyptain in orgin. pertaining to the fact that there is that big ol stute on the island of an egyptain god. taht god I think represents jacob and the other god that is jacobs rival is anubis. but thinkk about it. In egeptain legacy the smoke monster is controlled only by the ruler of the underworld which is anubis. that also points to the fat that anubis can take the form of only dead people (bens daugeter locke and such see next comment

  • however from the start of the season finale for season 5 we see jacob and werido # 9 this now shows that the dispute is not from ben and widmore but jacob and his rival and that ben and widmore might be just as confused as we are. We still haven't got a clear cut answer from the writers about that ben widmoer thing about who is evil and who is good but with evil intentions (merely because anybody that kills all those people is in my book evil) See the other comment because I am running out again

  • Illana is obviously not what she seems to be mainly for the fact that she is the only one that jacob went to talk to but was not already one of the oceanic people. When I saw that she burnt down the cabin I was thining that she must be working for widmore. Then in the finale the way that she talked to richard proved me wrong. adding to that All along this series I thought that the main arguement was between widmore and ben (again I will have to post another comment)

  • She might be like Jacob and Richard? Some kind of acient egyptian that doesn't age?

The same thing for her group (the ones who pulled Miles into the van and tried to convince him to join their 'side')

  • that wasn't exactly what I was getting at I was mostly leaning to the act that she could be like jack kate sawyer and the others because she was visited by jacob before the crash of oceanic flight 815 however your idea could totaly work to because with these writers anything can happen

  • ok so the guy in the cabin is not jacob but acutally jacobs rival. I am theorizing that jacobs rival (We will call him weirdo # 9) can only take the form of someone that is dead aka Christan Shepard, The horse that Kate saw, and most recently Locke himself. Now there is also another thing to it. Weirdo # 9 can't kill jacob himself I think because of the fact tht they are connected and if one kills the other they must die. (I am running out of sace so i will post another comment)

  • what about clair then why is she with weiro #9?

if he is only taking the form of chirstian?

  • Why is everyone calling werido #9 weirdo #9?

  • Can't be bothered. So why are they calling him "Werido #9?"

  • that is totaly true. Know this can lead to two possible explanations. One is that Jacob took the form of claire. Why he would do this? only because of the fact that if he were to approach kate in his true form than it would not have made an impression and she would not have gone back. The other is that clarie is unfortunatly dead and that was weirdo #9 took the form of claries body. this would also assume that kate will tie into this argument with jacob and his rival. see next comment

  • it cant be jacob becouse in the final episode of season 5 we saw jacobs face. and this is defenitly not jacob... So who is it :/ ?!? and why did ben say that he was goeing to jacob ... ?!?! Wired :P i think he took the wrong way lol

  • That was Jacob's nemesis I think.

  • IT'S HIS ENEMY. God, they're are some dense people out there.

  • The man in the cabin is Jacobs enemy, the ring of ash that was noted in the finale was binding him to the cabin. Locke and Ben broke it, and let him free.

He then took Jacks dad's form and convinced Locke to leave the island, and set in motion the events which lead to Locke's death.

When he died and his body was returned to the island, he took the form of Locke and manipulated Ben (by taking his daughters form) to kill Jacob, because he can't act against him directly. Hence the 'loophole'.

  • Do you guys think Jacob really died?

It's disappointing for me because i'v been waiting for this scene for a very long time and suddenly Jacob dies just like that..

  • i know! i hope jacob isnt really dead

  • In the last episode of season 5, Jacob says, "their coming." Does anyone have any ideas who he might of been talking about?

  • Well, he could have been talking about Illana and the Ajira people, or he could have been talking about the folks stranded in 1977 coming back to present day. They haven't really explained who exactly was in the cabin at that point, I'm guessing it wasn't Jacob, but the other guy he was talking to on the beach. His spirit may have been stuck there because of the ash circle, and since it was broken, he may have gotten out.

  • this really shows how deranged Ben is. If he was acting then he really went out of the way to really show Locke that his words are more important to him than his life. Damn Ben...

  • yea guys this is Jacob's nemesis, we all know now what he meant by telling Locke ''help me'' don't we?

  • no, explain it : |

  • that guy in the chair is most likely that guy that jacob was talkin' to in the season finale

  • illana said that somebod else had been 'using' the cabin - this is probably who she means

  • Clik my name to see who Jacob is! <-------

  • The man in this clip sounds different than Jacob in the season 5 finale. The man's voice in this clip sounds deeper than Jacob's. It does seem like this is Jacob's nemesis.

  • i absolutly agree with you.

  • Damon Lindelof provided the voice for Jacob in this episode. I'm sure they didn't know then during Season 3 who would be playing as Jacob in physical form.

  • Jacob is a physical entity who lives in the statue. This guy in the cabin is most likely the ghostly human form of the smoke monster aka jacob's nemesis from the finale. He most likely couldn't physically take form until Locke's body came back.

  • Sorry, I was left a bit confused by who the new Locke is. Was the invisible man in the cabin the same Jacob that Ben killed?

  • it's Jacobs nemesis, at the start of the finale. When they're on the beach.

The one who 'steals' lockes body...somehow.

  • But I never knew Jacob had a nemesis. Exactly who is Jacob, though? Anyone have any ideas as to how old he is, why he is on the island, why there was a big, ancient statue, etc?

  • I just turned on the finale as the lost opening crediting rolled on. What happened before that? Assuming they did their usual 3 minute thing before the credits.

  • Probably the most interesting and important scene from the whole episode.

  • No, he isn't Jacob

  • Meh ... it could still be Jacob in the chair. Remember the early shots of Syar in Heroes? When Sylar's identiy was still a mystery they used a shadowed out stunt double for his scenes until they found a suitable actor. The stunt double looked nothng like the real Sylar.

  • That's Christian. Jack's father.

  • so whats up with jacobs rival, can he morph in locke or something?

  • We know now who Jacob is. The new theory is- 'who was the man in the cabin?'

  • how is that a theory

  • Well, we don't know, personnally, i think that Jacob is Aaron and that it the one who took Aaron to Kate ! ^^ and Jacob goes raised Aaron ^^

  • This is not jacob he was revealed in last nights finale i uploaded the clip of the real looking jacob and of his death and the island blowing up :D

  • The island didn't blow up. For all we know the bomb didn't even detonate.

  • But for all we know it did :P so i think it went off but did not kill them all its LOST remember anything can happen !

  • Yeah, that's my point you dimwit. We do not know at this point if it detonated.

  • How the fuck you calling dimwit you know as much as i do just now we are allowed to have theories you know id you cant handle other people's theories don't get involved ! :@

  • we saw that jacob isn't this man! this man from here i think is that guy from the begin , when jacob is talking with him and he is saying to jacob that he will revenge!

  • yeah i think so too...he's "jacob's rival". This "guy" kinda looks like him @ 0:50

  • Jacob represents time...thats why richard never ages.

  • Well he doesnt look like the guy in the chair one bit the jacob iven seen yesterday xD

  • Jacob is finally revealed!

  • Rdzinsky is Jacob ^^ you will see...

  • Any logic whatsoever behind that claim? :O

  • Horace hates Radzinsky and he built the shack. I think that Jacob is really crazy and dangerous so Horace locked it up ^^

Or maybe it will be Jack because he is going to blow up the bomb and its conscience will be able to travel in time as Desmond...

  • Meh, Radzinsky is dead, though (in the future, that is). He was the guy who committed suicide in the hatch (but Jacob doesn't necessarily have to be alive, though!). I can see Jack, though. jKFLSDF IM SO EXCITED FOR TONIGHT!!!!

  • METOOMETOOMETOOMETOOMETOO

  • Yes you are right, radzinsky is dead ^^ but perhaps it was fake... it will be fake because we are still in the past looool

By the way, i'm french so i couldn't see tonight !!!!! ^^ but tomorrow ;)

  • Yeah we did see and he was not jacob not so smart now are you :D :P

  • in episode 9 season 1 when the frence woman falls to the floor crying sayid comferts her and in the backround there is a man standing watching them.

  • john comes face to face with the other john who is jacob. the incident. ;)

  • Jack is not Jacob. It has been announced that he will be played by Mark Pellegrino from Dexter. And for crying out loud why do people insist that the monster absolutely has to be an existing human character? That's just ridiculous. It's spelled Sayid, by the way.

  • Could it be that jacob wants john to help him by killing him in order to be free from the cabin. Where was Jacob before horace built the cabin? Was Jacob imprisoned in that cabin?

  • I think Jack is Jacob, and Saheed is the smokey monster (Continous references that Saheed is a killer). I think Richard, Jack and Saheed set off the hydrogen bomb together and strange things happen to them all. Notice how Richard never ages across the timelines.

  • Sayid**

  • oops

  • This Jacob was just a stand in, just a placeholder for the true reveal later down the line.

it's pretty obvious Jacob is someone we've known all along, how disappointing would it be if he was just an unknown guy that we've never seen before.

He might not necessarily be played by one of the current actors, if it is a new cast member he'll be playing an older version of a character we've being watching all along.

  • "it's pretty obvious Jacob is someone we've known all along"

Yeah right stupid feces eating faggot. Next time try to get ur facts right before making ridiculous and gay statements.

  • it has been told in follow the leader that ben hasnt seen jacob..all this scene was made up by ben.

  • At 0:50 for one sec. there is a man sitting on the chair.I just can't ID him yet

  • Jacob is Glen from (Some Like It Hoth) 30 mins 24 seconds into the program.

  • okay i may be wrong about this statement, but i thought about it and there is a big chance locke is jacob, because ben said jacob feels the same way about technology as you do and the fact that they are now bouncing through time and the orchid vid shows a rabbit being sent through time only to have itself cloned so what if that was the case with locke and jacob and also the fact locke is also now the leader of the other ? tell me what yo think

  • i know i know, ya dont got to remind me, anyway, the producers did say that in a podcast, but i dont think they meant the same actor, they just meant there is an existing non-speaking role that weve seen that is jacob. hell, maybe it is the black smoke who knows

  • exacly, thats y im subscribed to smolesiuk, and theorizing about lost is half the experience. i lov how lost never answers big questions, it leaves room for silly thoughts like the jacob acronym lol. and yes, i dont think jacob is anything but himself, however, the writers said in a podcast that jacob has been seen before but as a non speaking role, and the only character on the show i can think of that fits both categories is the black smoke but i dont think those two are connected.

  • "J"ack

    "A"aron

    "C"aire

    "O"-jack and kates child

    "B"en

    acronym for jacob.

i think jacob is not one person, but a group of 5 people from lost. maybe these same 5 people are the whisperers, and most of them are some how connected (all but ben). this explains why christian talks for jacob, because he is not part of jacob himself but is related directly to 4 of the members. just a thought

  • Jacob Deyer is his proper name and we could be seeing him soon he might be a crew member of the black rock or the owner.

  • i reckon its jack as well

its says jacks the only person to know the ending possibly cos he was told :)

but it does look like johns head :S

    i cant wait :D

  • 0:49

  • u can actually see him at 0:50

  • it is possible that jacob may be locke from future! he says help me, and then ben shoot him!

  • But locke is bald, unless the island cures that somehow... :P

  • His face is a very similiar shape though, and skin colour.

  • shut up. nothing was ruined. quit bawing over fuck all

  • se è come dice renegade...allora stai sicuro di una cosa...io ti troverò!! e quando ti troverò ti romperò le corna a una a una...pezz'i mieidda ca un si avutru!!

  • Jacob is going to show up in the Season 5 finale. he visits young sawyer at his fathers funeral in 1970 he will be played by Mark Pellegrino so no he was not in the pilot or any orther episode for that matter.

  • I heard a convincing argument that it was actor Clancy Brown, who played the role of Kelvin Inman, the man that trained Sayid how to torture and who was stuck with Desmond in the hatch for 3 years. It sounds like his voice alright.

I'm curious where you got the intel though..

  • the voice of jacob in this episode was that of carlton cuse.

  • 100% true its not a long scene a short scene but it shows jacob

  • if jacob is in the pilot episode then jacob is the pilot he has to be i'm not talking about the guy who got mashed up by the smoke monster i'm taking about the other pilot the one who comes flying out of the cocpit when jack thumps the door i could be wrong but the people the producers of lost say'd that something big happens in the pilot episode.

  • Rob Kyker plays Jacob.

No one on the show looks like him.

  • Jacob is in the very first episode but he doesnt have a speaking role

  • they uses a actor,or a extra who was in the first episode, and the voice was of carlton cuse.the actor who will now play jacob was just casted and he is filming curently scenes in haway with the other cast

  • um. sorry i meant: "playing a non-speaking character"

  • can anybody show me the source, where the producers said, that Jacob was seen in the Pilot with a non-speaking character?

  • I love the way Jacob says "help me"

  • i beleive that jacob is locke from the future

  • This scene is terrifying :( lol

  • i heard we have seen jacob b4 briefly but he hasnt had a speaking role. idk

  • Yeah supposedly he was in the first episode =\

  • Jack is Jacob he has the same eyes if you pause you can see! Besides Matthew Fox is the only person that the Damon and Carlton have disclosed the ending to... Why??? Because he is Jacob! And Locke will be the sacrifice the island demands!

  • jack's dad is Jacob!!!

  • Sorry but if you watch season 4 they already dispel that theory when Locke goes into the cabin and asks Christian if he is jacob he replies "No, but I can speak on his behalf!" or something like that. Apparently, what I keep hearing is that we have already seen Jacob in a non speaking role in season 1.

  • no i dont think jack is jacob because you can clearly see that jacob has light brown or blondish hair and he has a diffrent shaped nose.i may be totally wrong but am i the only one who thinks that jacob could be christ himself i mean he looks like him beard and long hair and if you watch the episodes you hear people saying things like god loves you like he did jacob or jacob loves you, jacob= jesus hmmmmm?? maybe jacob is the anti christ and locke is christ or maybe i could be talking shit.

  • I dont think Jack is jacob now either. The is definately a huge religous presence in the show in terms of references and so forth, but I dont think anything will be so blatant as to say a character is a religous figure. Apparently we have already seen Jacob in the pilot episode and he has a non speaking role, I think he has to be someone off the island and is in the flash back.

  • jacob: locke's subconscious

    just a thought ;)

  • wouldn't make sense... how would ben hear locke's subconscious? =/

  • ben didnt hear the "help me". he just knew that locke heard jacob, so he was jealous.

  • yes but how would ben and richard know about locke's subconscious? plus before the "help me" ben speaks to jacob, would he already understand that he'd be talking to locke's subconscious? seems unlikely to me... =/ i dont think any of the oceanic 6 are jacob... wouldn't mix right

  • as i said, only a guess. it was revealed that jacob is an unspoken character who has been seen before. Ben's actor said that he hasn't played a speking role, and probably never will.

  • yes i know. most people wonder if jacob is vincent lol

  • which episode of season 4 is that?

  • its season three and the episode is man behind the curtain

  • nevermind. im stupid. i didnt know his name was christian. u can make fun of me : )

  • Can someone please try and explain to me why jacks father isnt jacob even though he is is DEAD, ON THE ISLAND, AND HIS NAME IS JACOB!

  • so jacks father isnt jacob then thats good cuz i think it wud off just spoiled everything.

  • the way he said help me, it brought a shiver to my spine, goosebumps on my arms and the sound of my balls dropping on the floor

  • Man when i first saw this scene for the first time, it scared the crap out of me! Not to mention I was home alone!

  • Jacob is the dad of Jack :)

    Watch Lost Season 5 episode 5 :)

  • exactly :)

  • Why not? Do you have an idea who it is?

  • jack's father

  • That's an interesting idea, but Christian has been in the cabin with Jacob before, and no one can be in two places at once, not even on Lost. I've heard another theory that Jacob is Jack's grandfather, meaning that Christian might have been on the island before, and was raised there.

  • Actually even on Lost, the same person can be at several places at once, as proved by these new episodes in season 5, them in the past and all, Sawyer seeing Claire give birth. I don't think Christian is Jacob though, actually I know he isn't Jacob. I dont even think Jacob is anyone we have seen before, because he could be some immortal person like Richard, the Egyptian looking guy.

  • Jacob is someone we've seen, but hasn't talked. Damon and Carlton, the writers/executive producers said this. I just read that interview. So, Jacob has been on the island. We just haven't noticed him.

  • Hmm really? The only people that fit Jacob's physical appearance in that short scene in this video are Angelo Busoni or Horris.

  • I don't think the physical appearance matters so much because they cast the prop guy as Jacob. All we know is that he's old and psychic, or at least has psychic abilities. Which previously led me to believe Jacob is Claire's psychic.

  • Well, didn't you say that the writers said we have seen him before briefly, but not say a word, a minor character. When? If before/during season 3 then I think they would have the cast for him.

  • Kuato is Jacob!!!

  • Who's Kuato??

  • Kuato is that psychic mutant guy from Total Recall.

  • I think the real question is who was or who will be Jacob. Cabin obviously travels through time and space same as the island did...We can't say for sure when cabin was first, in which time and space, and from which time and space Jacob arrived. But, I think Jacob's from the past, because of his ugly clothing.

  • ...is the psychic from season 1 Jacob? You know, the psychic who told Claire that she has to raise her baby herself, and gave her the plane tickets for the Oceanic 815 flight??

  • When i saw jacob for a second that creeped me out the most when i saw this!

  • I rememeber watching this episode, i had the lights turned down, speakers on full. Sitting litteraly on the edge of the sofa i was sooo into it.... and then Jacobs speaks. Holy shit, my entire body was covered with goose bumps! I LOVE THIS SHOW!! :D

  • i no :D :D :D!!!!

  • Jacob is a tormented ghost, either from the black rock, or something we haven't heard of yet. Locke has abilities he or we don't know of yet, and Jacob is asking locke for help, because he know he can. That is one of Locke's destined things he has to do on the island.

  • So creepy...I love it.

  • Something is strange. If Ben is afraid of Jacob and if Jacob is a leader, why did Ben gave the order to Jacob to stop shaking the cabin. I think Jacob is one part of smokey(smoke monster). I think cabin is also an illusion of past time, when Dharma built it. Smoke monster has some sort of AI, and is choosing people which are allowed to be on island. For some reason, it didn't want pilot to be on it, and Eko in the late season. It probably has something to do with being a bad person.

  • Hellllpp meeee.

  • i think jacob is a ghost, which is why they have miles the paranormal expert who talks to ghosts come along. if not, there is definitely some ghost action going on somewhere, why else would they bring him? a friend of mine suggests it has sometime to do with the black rock, maybe jacob is the ghost of it's captain?

  • By far the most frightening scene in the entire series to date.

  • i think jacob is the smoke monster, the island security system.
