@golfer15963 ok,well just in case you were wondering ...jhp 50 ae rounds carry 1600 ft lbs of muzzle energy..jhp 460 mag rounds carry 2900-3200 ft lbs of muzzle energy depending on brand...and the muzzle break on your uncles gun is doing it's job

the amount of energy has nothing to do with recoil in most cases

its just weird to see a gun of that size hop that high.

@golfer15963 the 50 is not even comparible to the 460 mag, the gun that your uncle uses probably has a muzzle break and there are many types of loads for this firearm,as there are for most,they do not all have the same powder load.

actually that was a cylinder skip. Look it up on google. the 500 mag is having issues with it. nothing serious. S&W is fixing the problem if you feel there is one. But most people feel it is not the gun but the shooter pulling the trigger, then once the gun fires, they pull it again, but only not a full pull.

there are some 460 loads that have more muzzle energy than 500 loads

plus the 460 will out perform the 500 any day of the week...check a ballistics chart.
