@Votn Negative, only Rudy plays himself. But, he does a great job and so do the other Marines that play parts in series. Ray was played by James Ransone (also acted in the awesome film Inside Man), but the majority of the dialogue was taken from exact quotes of the Marines, especially in the Humvee that Wright was riding in.

@Taino963 It seems to me, after reading Generation Kill and a bunch of other analysis of modern soldiers, it appears to me that the more professional. the more elite a soldier is, the more likely he is to be an incredible cynical dude.

Perhaps it's just simply that once the job you do revolves around death and killing, you just lost your belief.

I'm not saying that all of them are, but just that more likely.And yes, these dude have an incredible zeal for killing. They feel bad when they don't
