I've been doing fingerstyle for a year now, i can nevr get it to sound like the words, like in your song like rolling in the deep, it sounds like the guitar is singign the lyrics. how did you learn to do it? Your playing is so inspiring

I really don't like to get "emotional", but this is THE Phantom of the Opera guitar arrangement.... it's so beautifulI that I couldn't find words to describe it - you've pushed the guitar's capabilities to the limits! I can definitely see how much of heart & effort you've put into this work while watchng ur fingers fly across the fretboard... made me unconsciously close my eyes and let those notes touch my soul. Congratulations.

Sandra, This is just an incredible arrangement! Your work with so smoothly adjusting the capo up and down is brilliant! May I ask what type of capo it is? I've never seen one so easily adjusted (but then, it could be your talent!). This is the last show I saw with my mom when she was alive. So it's always been one of my favorites. @forbebe It's called a gliding capo. It was really really stiff at first and it was SO stressful. But my dad tweeked it a bit and put some oil on it and with lots of practice, I made it possible! Thank you, Bunny for always leaving cheery comments.

This is an amazing piece. I"m learning fingerstyle guitar too. I've been playing for a year now, but only started to pick up fingerstyle about four months ago. Would you care to share some advice on how I'm able to get better? That would be awesome :D. Keep on playing Sandra your amazing :). @Shippuo23 For a beginner, I think getting through the basic throughly is the most important element. Also, the newer you are at guitar, the better your guitar's condition has to be because it's hard enough to learn the guitar and the guitar's technical problems shouldn't be in the way. By guitar's condition, I mean little things like fixing buzzing frets and adjusting the setting so that it has its full playability.

You are amazing at arranging song, really! Do you pick up the notes by just ears? I'm experimenting with arranging too, but I really can't find the right chords to connect the bass and melody or to arrange a fast chorus.. I suppose I have to learn scales crazily, but it's hard to figure out the whole stuff alone ;)

@HUNrobar Finishg my first arrangement was the biggest challenge because since I was the creator, there was no "right" way to play it so it felt "wrong". But now, I'm getting the hang of it and enjoying the limitless creativity the guitar allows! Since one guitar can't recreate the whole song, I try to mimick the most important melody, bass, rythm, and harmony of the song with my guitar, to express the song the way I want to - or the way it is written. It will come together eventually. :)

I was torn between being completely inspired and giving up and selling my guitar. Luckily for me, I think I am more inspired. You are rapidly becoming one of the best fingerstyle players around. And your arrangements are incredible. I love Phantom, but if you ever get the chance, please do something similar for Les Mis.
