I'm sorry but at 0.10, grabbing the guy in the wheelchair by the hair and flipping him backwards... makes me sound like such an asshole but that was some great slapstick right there
I remember watching this , used to have it on VHS for many years. Great movie, and even better was at the end of the movie, a paragraph popped up right after that crooked attorney got blown up in his car, saying the film was based on real events, made the movie even better than it was.
Lotta debate about violence in America here. All I'm gonna say is I've strolled around some of the most feared parts of my city at night and had nothing happen. I live in Fort Worth, TX. However, I got stranded one night in Atlanta, Georgia, and I will definitely say that the only reasons I'm still alive are a.) dumb luck and b.) the fact that I spent most of my time at a bus station where everyone could see me.
Look, I am aware of the fact that we do have ghettos in our country. On my way to work I allways drive through a poor part of my city. But Its not like its shown in this movie. I mean come on, look at other countrys. I spend my holidays in Columbia, Brazil, Panama and in some eastern europe countrys and believe me, this countrys have a looot of criminals and are much more dangerous. In some of the hotels, the receptionist's told me not to go in some parts of the city....
....How bad is that? You should be happy with america, not crying around like its the worst country ever. You have no idea how it is to live in some other countrys. Dont tell me about reality, kid! I dont have time for such bullshit, if you're not happy with America, go and live in Bogota or some poor part of Panama City and lets see how long you're gona survive there! The crime-rate of LA and NY together is nothing compared to those citys! Have a nice live! Great movie btw^^
@PathGrinder I never said it was the worst country, but there are places so bad you wouldn't believe they're here, within our boarders. There are some real killing fields here, man. Some that the majority of Americans sadly have no idea about. Sorry about coming off rough before, just be safe if you ever find yourself in one.
I think it's safe to say that we need more people like that in the world today. Still, the police are powerless (unless in Japan or South Korea), people are murdered and raped every day, the law is corrupt, but there is one thing that remains. Something so few people know because they are told the opposite to this everyday; Justice is not blind. It is hidden behind a mask.
They just posted September 21st as the release date on Blu-ray using a new 2K transfer from the original uncut and uncensored camera negative. This should look really good on Blu-ray. Can't wait for September 21st!!
I have this on DVD and Death Wish-both good movies, but I liked Death Wish better.Their was another movie from the late 70's and early 80's called Fighting Back-excellent movie.
just after this movie was released a french movie scraped their title and called it vigilante part 2. that tells you how popular this movie was in its hayday
Obvious "Death Wish" Knockoff movie. IMO
