  • "You're too late Fortesque, you will never leave this necropolis!"

  • He was great for the part. People take theses things so seriously it's only Sci-Fi. He was one of the most interesting characters. It was a great series with good actors, good story and a cool spaceship!

  • So much for NZT.

  • Unlike the other B7 actors. Paul Darrow seems to do many interviews about B7, He has become the spokesman for the show. Defending it when nessassary. Although its a shame the other actors do not do many interviews, Darrow is all we need because his interviews are interesting and he comes across so well

  • @zephranna01 I never thought of that. He would have been a great doctor for sure. I just can't get into the news Dr Who.

  • @zephranna01 as a huge doctor who fan and as much as i love the show with all my heart i relunctly have to agree with you there, i still watch doctor who even though i did not like what john nathan turner and russel t davies did to the series. if i was producer for doctor who i would stop making it a childrens series and raise the bar a bit to make it a more muture hard sci fi drama/fantasy adventure series that would still be suitable for family viewing.

  • @zephranna01 He's great when he reigns it in. Sometimes - and I do love him - sometimes he goes overboard. But when he keeps it subtle he's magnetic! Oh yes!

  • @zephranna01 yes he definately would have outshined baker and pertwee he would have taken doctor who to greater level of drama.

  • Interesting how he says he created Avon, yet someone offered him the part...

  • It does sound a bit arrogant, but I'm sure he's referring to how he was given a lot of reign by Terry Nation in Avon's development.

  • Him and Chris Boucher. I think Nation came up with Avon's name, maybe his function, not much more beyond that.

  • Boucher said how there wasn't a line written for Avon that he didn't change in some way.

  • He meant he created the role as an actor, because no one else had played the part before.

  • @Bleeter yeah....... it's about the same when God created the Heavens and the Earth......... but where was He standing on???? :S lol

  • @Bleeter Well, the writter gives him the words, events and the back story, but I suppose the actor gives him the character. Give all the right words, events and back story to a bad actor and their isn't a character. Just some bloke humiliating himself.

  • he would have made a brilliant sixth doctor who! i doubt if nathan turner would have placed him in that dreadfull sixth doctor costume though.

  • An absolute gentleman and a very over looked actor. Paul Darrow should be given a knighthood at least

  • Excellent. A must-see, must-have.

  • I wish this interview had been put on the DVD release.

  • Yeah there's a lot missing from the DVD releases.

    meh!

  • Pauls got an Awsome Voice. Love hearing him on JACKFM. with his witty comments. Aparantly hes going to be staring in Emerdale pritty soon. Shall have to keep my eyes pealed for that.

  • wait, what? is that happening yet, did I miss it? I never watch soaps but for him I'd make an exception.

  • ya he' s been and gone. Rode off into the sunset on his trike. Took with him some chick too. Damn he's still got that pulling power even at his age. :-)

But im sure you can find the episodes on here. Also listen out for him on Channel 4. He does the intros for th ch4 movies. Brought to you by xxxx and so on. Still sounds great. :-)
