  • Hell, you could've killed a guy with the magazine, judging by its speed XD

  • That was horrible. It's easily averted though charging handle back drawn water and shoot. But this is serous stuff dont try that at home.

  • @hishinator Look it can be done with every M4 or AR and not one bad this will happen.

This total BS by the Germans to make their gun look better and the M4 look bad.

I've done this with my 2 ARs with not one bad outcome .

I did blow the top off one AR with an over loaded round that the powder can was marked the wrong powder !

I know clearly by watching that M4 blow what happen by my own AR blowing up .

Water pressure sure did not make that magazine blow out, it was gas pressure that blew it out

  • Hey look, Military Daft Punk.

  • its isaac from dead space

  • I beleive this was a representation made by Heckler and Koch to show the benefits of their short stroke gas piston system versus the direct impingment system utilized in the colt shown in the video. Never had an issue with direct impingment system, but then again i dont submerse my rifles and shoot them

  • this video scares me well at least the guy in it

  • @bygoran An AK will also blow up, it's a matter of physics nothing else. You shoot an AK that has it's barrel filled with water and there's a good chance it's gonna blow up in your face. Period any gun has this problem weather it's a AK or an AR

  • that is why you get AK not that garabage

  • Yep, Russian weapon the best.

  • говно

  • Makes you wonder how people can be so friggin' stupid.

  • look at the mag when he shoots it. It goes as fast as the bullet itself :) LOL

  • Isn't this more of an out of battery failure than a water caused failure? If the pressure is on the upper receiver, then that means the gasses all went behind the chamber rather than forward propelling the bullet out of the barrel. So even in a piston AR this could happen, right?

Although I could see the gas tube being completely filled with water so the second the cartridge goes off the water has enough pressure to unlock the lugs allowing the BCG to move rearwards and the gasses go backwards.

  • 8 years in the corps never had to.........

never hope they'll have to invade normandy beach again.

lots of : uh oh's will come that day ^^ lol

  • @alexoprel Why Normandy? Why can't we invade Hogwarts or something, I know the military would love to get it's hand on the wand technology, or maybe those beans that taste like someone farted in your mouth.

  • aka47 is the beast

  • fuck m4 m16

  • meh, ive seen metal shaving from inside the chamber/receiver in the HK416 after 1000 rounds of full auto.

sry but ill still take the M4 instead.

  • must suck crap

  • The problem I have with most western firearms is not accuracy, firepower, or reliability. Its that they look for the perfect weapon and don't consider the cost and ease to.maintain. In WW2 the Germans overall had the better equipment but most of it was expensive and difficult to maintain. The allies (especially Russia and Britain) looked for cheap and easily maintainable equipment for there soldiers. Also a small fact, an M16 costs around $1200 to build while and AK-74 costs $500

  • @toughspitfire you realise the russians went past 74 and went up to 200 and then even going back to 15 right?

  • @unknownunkownunkown Actually those weapons are only in limited use or are the standard in other countries. In Russia itself the AK-74 is still the standard assault rifle although they are currently looking for a replacement.

  • FAT SNAKE!?

  • @IHugFatKids13 How is he fat? Compared to all those McDonalds bulldozers running around today he is slim as a model...

  • The main thing is, RoboCop has found a job. After the third film I really thought it was over for him.

  • HK, what a load of crap.

  • Was it a Bushmaster? lol

  • in mw3 u get to pull out a m14 EBR from underwater ant it still works :p

  • @555gangstaman You stupid Call of Duty faggot! This is a REAL GUN, In REAL LIFE, and this is not an M14 Enhanced Battle Rifle, this is an M4 Carbine, dipshit! God I cant stand queers like you. What are you, 8? 9? I bet you have never even shot a real gun before!

  • @Thelonesniper101 Calm down killer, he may have been joking. He wasn't calling the rifle in the video an M14, he was saying in COD the M14 works under water.

  • @cyberhendrix What the fuck does that have to do with this video though?

  • @Thelonesniper101 The video is of a gun being filled with water and being shot?

  • @cyberhendrix Yes but it has nothing to deal with video games

  • @cyberhendrix yes, thank u, u got what i meant

  • @Thelonesniper101 i shot real guns bitch

  • @555gangstaman Yet you can't spell. I'm concerned...

  • The ar will shoot underwater. I know because I have done it. I am not sure what happened here. All this talk about AK's being better is a bunch of malarkey. The reason an AK can shoot just about anything is because it is put together really sloppy. So it doesn't matter if it is clean or not it will still fire. However the AK will never have the accuracy of an AR. Just as the AR will never have the power of a AK. I have taken down plenty of animals with a .223 at all ranges with just one shot.

  • @arreshavoc It's the design. A nicely made AK will have the same reliability. The AR can have the same power as the AK. The 6.8 SPC,6.5 grendel, etc.

  • @esh325 Yeah, but I have seen plenty of AK's blow up like this while just shooting them. They are stamped out and really aren't made to be reliable. The AR is actually cnc machined and the parts are then fitted to the receiver making it a non disposable weapon. I have shot plenty of AK's and non have had the accuracy of my AR. Maybe I haven't shot the right AK. but to me they seem to be a cheaply made combat rifle. I also do have an AR in .308. Not trying to start an argument.

  • @esh325 I guess I just want to know why it seems most people prefer the AK. I really don't see any upside to carrying one.

  • You need everything water-filled or completely free of water. This is what happens when the barrel is partially emptied...

  • Even airsoft M4's don't do this xD

  • Proof it.

  • ak47 enough said

  • The funny thing about most of the people commenting on this. This is the "Over the beach test". I am certain that short of other US Marines no one is actually ever going to experience the need to fire their weapon moments after submerging their AR platform weapon. The weapon fails because it is filled with water and a round is fired before the water is allowed to drain from the barrel/ chamber causing an overpressure situation. 8 years in the Corps I never had to...

  • @speedfreak247 marines probably wont either >.<

  • @speedfreak247 never say never: all forces adapt their drills within the limits of where their equipment can be safely operated by simply avoiding the situations where its likely to fail

  • @speedfreak247 Thank you for your service.

  • @speedfreak247 mmmmm Ever heard of Murphey's law....??? Ak can pass this with flying colors...

  • @speedfreak247 good point, but it could be a desirable feature for servicemen of the special operations community

  • @speedfreak247 Yes I do know that this will never never happen in a real combat, but why other weapons can do this things??? I do not want to argue I really want to know what is the diference

  • @speedfreak247 im sure the SEALs have had to in recent years but who knows im sure they have already made a solution to that

  • @HeretoStay33 Marines, Soldiers and Sailors are trained to deal with this issue at various amphibious schools. (yes Marine Corps, Navy and Army have combatant dive schools)

  • @speedfreak247 yes they do thanks for the correction

  • @HeretoStay33 yes, and it is called the HK 416. Its a cold bore piston operated weapon, sort of a hybrid of a G36 and a M4.

This video is actually half of an over the beach comparison test between and M4 and 416, you can watch the whole thing (with terrible music) here youtube.com/watch?v=vjMH94PuT_I

  • @speedfreak247 Commandos however might be in that situation, in rivers of course...

  • @speedfreak247 I'm guessing you are just another arm chair want to be You Tube weekend warrior !

If you really had experiance in the millitary you would known the navy seals and some other special units do swim with their M4 and may at a moments need to fire their M4s right out of the water .

So if the M4 blows up with water in it not one special unit of the U.S millitary would be using this weapon !

The over pressure here was done with an over loaded round to blow it up for promotional value.

  • love how he's like 'wtf?"

  • lol. this mustve been a military issue colt M4 only the worse for our troops. while cops that never will fire they're weapon get automatic jam free rifles.

  • haha it blew the mag out

  • I need one of those helmets.

  • funny:

    watch?v=0MA1IFKwdAQ&feature=related

seems like they rigged this shit to me

  • @DystruktoBoi1 I believe what is going on here has to do with the gun being out of the water(lower pressure environment) and the barrel and chamber being flooded(high pressure). It becomes harder for the gas to escape properly through the barrel causing it to find a different path which is not designed for that type of pressure leading to this failure. The test is rigged because they put it in a circumstance that they know will cause failure.

  • @cjhatesu Hmmm, you could be right yea, but then any gun would fail like that if the water was in the right spots, I'll bet if I filled the gas tube on my AK47 with water and shot it, the result would be very similar. This is a piece of the new HK model versus Colt, I do have to admit the HK is impressive but they shouldn't need to make colt look bad to show off their weapon.

  • @DystruktoBoi1 The full video is somewhere on here on YT. He soaks the AK and M4 the same amount of time. I agree the AK could explode but have never seen it happen. They are prob the best built guns ever.

  • @ehill1536 hence why I got one of them first instead of the AR, but make no mistake I will own an AR one day too. I love my AK so far though.

  • @ehill1536 dude there 70 + years old yah the ak is a great gun and compared to a normal m4 its flawless but seriously we have better guns today that make the ak look like childs play, hell will from sons of guns had his team build a m16 m4 whatever i dont remember thats water proof granted thats some 60 + years after the ak but we can make them that good now a days and the competetors are not as good now a days either

  • @ehill1536 They have a video of a terroist shooting an Ak and it explodes LMAO. shit is hilarious. dude looked scared

  • i think the magazine was faster than the bullet

  • creeper m4!!!!

  • if he carried out submersion drills before firing im sure that wouldnt of happened.

  • @copple1985 this was rigged to promote the m416

  • Why when I want to see a great gun video there are a bunch of fuck wads arguing over what is best?

  • That's why they use gas tubes more now

  • Holy crap, look at all these retards in the comment section "The AK47 never jams, ever!" "The M16 is more accurate hurrr." Both weapons are just as accurate mechanically....neither is more reliable than the other if you keep it clean, like you should any gun. It's all about personal preference. The M16A3 and A4, the M4 and M4A1 or M16A2 would be in use today if they were pieces of shit. Same applies to the AKS74-U, AK74M, RPK, SVD and AKM. If any of you had experience with these guns you'd know.

  • @DeadOnTheGround Wouldn't be in use today*

  • @DeadOnTheGround wrote, "Holy crap, look at all these retards in the comment section "The AK47 never jams, ever!" "The M16 is more accurate hurrr." Both weapons are just as accurate mechanically....neither is more reliable than the other if you keep it clean, like you should any gun."

Lots of us have plenty of experience with both.

That is why we can say that the average AK is more mechanically reliable under harsh conditions, but also less inherently accurate than the M16.

  • @forthedefence82 I'm not talking about that, I was referring to the people who only know what they've heard on TV or from playing video games and take it as pure fact. I've never had a reason to use a gun in "harsh conditions" so it's pretty negligible to me, as it would be to most others commenting, but feel the need to rag on one weapon system or another when it's just a matter of person preference. The M16 isn't a Chauchat, and the AK Isn't a Liberator, as most make them out to be.

  • 1 of 2

    @DeadOnTheGround

    I agree.

The newest generation of assault rifles, and their semi-automatic civilian counterparts, seem to be going along way toward blending the best of both worlds.

However, all assault rifles (even the new generation) involve trade-offs.

I prefer the Stoner system (lightweight and accurate to EXTREMELY accurate), but it is a maintenance whore.

I like the AK system due to easier maintenance and better reliability, but it's only "acceptably" accurate.

  • 2 of 2

    @DeadOnTheGround

Then you still have: what caliber (tradeoffs of weight and number of rounds able to be carried).

    Etc., etc., etc.

But we agree about gamers & YouTube experts.

  • duct tape will fix it

  • Secure that mag soldier!

  • FRAGGED!!!!!!!

  • this is bullshit .....M16 is better then ak47 in my country ak47 is 300$ and M16 price is $3500

  • @shahzadnaeem111 Price means nothing. The M16 is a piece of shit and the M4 isn't much better.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri actually price means something moron.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri ha price is dignity !

  • @shahzadnaeem111 More like over priced.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri whatever but hole world are using M16 NATO,BLACKWATER,SWAT,FBI,SECURITY PROVIDE COMPANIES this is time for M16 not for AK47 :)

  • @shahzadnaeem111 Its a piece of overpriced shit. If you want a real weapon, worth the high price, buy German. If you're smart, you can get 2 really good rifles that perform as well with more stopping power so the M4 is a waste of money and a weak piece of shit.

  • does anyone know what make that upper receive was?

  • @airraverstarz

    Ak74 shoots about 2moa

    But you talk about accuracy?

Accuracy means nothing if the gun dont function!!

The ak will always function, full of water, cheap steel ammo, dont clean it, rusted shut, no matter what it'll always work!

Thats an ak and thats what all the hype is about!

  • @Marcellone86able Everybody's gotta work. Especially when you games suck.

  • H&K wins the day

  • Comment removed

  • @OnoaSnake no you didnt...

  • this is why so many design changes have been implemented own the m16 varriants with its sensativity to debris and the hydrolock issue you have just seen they have coppied some things from the ak now a shorter gas tube with an ak like piston to bolt rather than gas to bolt this has been solved KISS wins again

  • is he in a kiddie pool?

  • The gun is not shit. When will you be taking a M4 underwater before battle anyways ?. Yes it needs be cleaned more often, and maintenance should be regular, and jams can be happen however it is still a very accurate weapon wich has almost limitless additions to it that can be made. Calling an M4 shit is just retarded it gets the job done.

  • @Lamb00FGoD Navy SEALs DELTA SAS Snipers secondary of Rangers all work in water and need a gun that will do the same.

  • @Airsoftingfish I know that. I was just speaking about the average person on here making really poor comments about it,and I can say that probably AT LEAST 80 % of all commenters on this vid are not military, and have no need to speak so poorly about the weapon when they will most likely never operate it in water.

  • @Lamb00FGoD

Any tool can get a job done, that doesn't mean however that it's the best tool for the job. M-16's are decent weapons, accurate yes, but more problem inducing than a good weapon should be.

"Yes it needs be cleaned more often, and maintenance should be regular, and jams can be happen however"

No "great" battle implement should be this way.

  • @barfingjake Same goes for the UK SA-80A2's....Too much cleaning and servicing needed for a good combat weapon. I can't agree with you more about this ;) There needs to be a new cartridge being used because 5.56/.223 cal army rifles have too many problems and 7.62x51mm NATO weapons ammunition is to heavy to carry large amounts of ;)

  • i will be sure to not take my M4 swimming lol

  • thats why you never play with guns in the bath, unless its attached to you :D

  • holy fuck

  • the gun is shit

  • @ebaay1 I see what you did thar...

  • Ha, a lot of these comments are quite silly, saying that the gun is shit.

This test is like taking a sledge hammer to a cell phone and saying "See? It's broken now, it must be crap". For the average shooter, this will never happen.

  • this is why i will never buy anything with a direct impingement action.

  • Just goes to show, no matter haw crap it is the Americans will buy it as long as it is made in america and more importantly as long as congress owns shares in the company. And by the way, the AK-47 was only as good as you are all making it out to be 30-35 years ago, I'm not knocking it, its just obsolete.

  • everyone thinks im watching porn. thanks faggot.

  • All he had to do was point the barrel down and pull the charging handle back and he's good to go.

  • He put on a helmet => He knew.

  • my question is why didnt he have any sight on this gun

  • @C0DY1921 ya don't need sights on a bomb... well you know what i mean...

  • you have to point the barrel down and slightly pull the bolt back before firing an M4 or M16 after being submurged

  • This doesn't happen with an ACR. Those guys can fight in Atlantis

  • LMFAO!

  • It is an inherent problem with ALL .22 caliber (.223/5.5mm/5.7mm) rifles that water does not easily drain from the barrel, when a round is chambered.

A barrel thus filled with water, might as well be filled with cement. And firing any weapon with a blocked barrel is just plain stupid.

Every soldier is trained to clear water from the barrel of his weapon, by retracting the bolt, and shaking the weapon, while pointing the muzzle downward.

  • Irony is it's Made in the US..

  • but i just watched a video of some one fully submerged with an ar15 firing it. and he did it with a glock. and nothing like this happened they both performed perfectly, except the bullets only traveled about 2 feet lol.

  • @airmanmatthew chances are, the ar15 had a piston system in it instead of a gas system.

  • he is like ''WTFJUST HAPPENED HERE''

  • It totally cracks me up that so many people thing a gun is reliable because it fires straight out of water.... this video was a HK video promoting their HK 416. It may have fired out of water.. but ask the norweigens about them parts on them freezing and cracking in cold conditions.. Just because a gun fires out of water doesn't mean the parts are superior and the integrity of the weapon will hold up under other conditions... I swear... I think sometimes the internet is the scurge of the earth.

  • waiting for test b...

  • thats y AK rules the earth!

    Reliable, simple mechanism

  • @CHERIKUGAJEVIKUGA

with decent accuracy at best, a fuck ton of shit tier copies (see WASR 10)

and when one does fail, might as well scrap the thing. also shit tier mags and is inferior to the 74, and 101, 103, 107 and 108

  • you guys are fucking morons the ak's available here blow asshole and are way overpriced .. any decent ak in the us is at least 600 $ for a few hundred more you can get an AR 10 !!! way better options for optics and the 7.62 nato shits on a 7.62x39

  • @alienman69 I bought my Saiga 7.62x39 for $299 this year, which is made by Izmash in Russia. If you want to restore to original ak it is not much. I love the rifle and enjoy shooting it

  • @ford4602 $299?? You're a lucky man. I paid 370$ i think, but I do know it was more than 350. Were did you buy it at for such a low price?

  • oh glad i found this video i was going to try that. i learned my lesson

  • Fuk that AK47 much better and cheaper too. Been kicking ass for many countries since 1947.

  • @killacomeback but its not as accurate and it was mad 1943, the russian army adapted it 1947

  • @ArmoredZimpa You are incorrect. The Ak-47 began design in the last year of the war, 1945. In 1946 is was presented for trials as the AK46. After adding a fixed stock in 1947, it was release in limited quantities to a few Soviet armies as the AK47. The 47 stands for the year. AK stands for Avtomat Kalashnikova which translate to Automatic Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov being the designer Mikhail Kalashnikov.

  • @tadracket hmm guess you learn something new every day :)

  • @tadracket you're very much correct my friend

  • @tadracket The AK rifle was NOT in the army until late 1949. The name AK-47 is wrong and the proper name is just 'AK'.

  • @Yfr28 ummmmmmmm no.

  • @tadracket How accurate is the Ak in comparison to say an AR-15? For it to be the 'worlds' weapon of choice for the most part there has to be something more to it then what I see. Or is it simply a matter of money and they're easy to produce?

  • @airraverstaz actually, regardless the reliability factors of the M-16 it is considerably more accurate than the AK-47. See the M-16 versus AK wiki. (apparently I cannot post a link to there on here...) see the ammunition section -- about 1-3 moa compared to 3-5. that writer's source for that portion of the graph is a Russian publication about the AK, by the way.

  • @ericdbates I'll be sure to take a look at that. Thanks

  • @tadracket mikhail began making a prototype in 41 and another one in 42. the most important parts where used to make the ak46

  • @tadracket /watch?v=hsdsQf3pMrw

  • When moving through a water obstacle with a weapon you must always keep the barrel facing down to create an air pocket in the barrel . The water in the barrel will only be minute and drain well before the weapon has reached the firing position

  • @nixymagoo::::::AGwkHktkTxU&feature

  • that´s why it´s shit

  • Poor little DPMS :(...... never had a chance

  • Check out the whole video. "They" allowed the HK to drain a second longer than the Colt.

  • M16 is the most durable

  • Comment removed

  • thank god the H&K 416 was made, the germans toghter with belgians have always been best in weapons.

  • @MrGerardnl yeah, like the war time P38s that'd go full auto as soon as you dropped the safety, or the G36's that melt with sustained fire, or the Glocks that fire when dropped (or go off in their holster, shooting their carrier in the thigh), or the PPKs that cut your hand when you fire them (improved by Americans)

The HK416 is not much more than an M4A1 with a piston upper instead of a direct impingement, and theirs is merely the most well known, not the only one of that style.

  • Зачем сломали винтовку?:0

  • Thats why I Prefer the Ak 47 xD

  • To much pressure, when water is in the barrel.

  • BOOOOOM..... "wtf?"

  • Китайская.. )))

  • uhm i hope my theory is correct. so,when there is water in the gun it takes in a little space. and when teh gun fires there isn't enough space for the energy to get away? am i right?

  • ok so he knew that was going to happen so why do it

  • @travisakins99

    This is the whole film:

    AGwkHktkTxU

  • thank the USSR for the AK-47

  • Made in USA bro.

  • Guy looks like he from tron

  • Daft Punk had to get a second job

  • made in america,

    impressive
