@YoungBass182 OfficialHollow has a point, there's a pretty darn big difference. Tremolo affects the volume level whereas phaser varies the frequencies of the signal in a similar way to wah. I can see why you'd get confused though, they each have a pulsing kind of feel. Hope I helped :)

Ok. This pedal is a great buy for all you EVH fans who are having second thoughts. Though the pedal is completely useless when the nob is past 9'o clock. No other Phaser sounds right. And did i mention Eddie's was always on 9'o clock.

This review just showed all the useless features it has. If you buy this, just click the script button in, turn nob to 9'o clock and play the tapping part to eruption. Plain and simple.

There is a difference in putting a phaser in front of a distorted amp preamp rather than a dist pedal. The amp works, the pedal thing not so much. There are some rules, and yet if your ears think a terrible sweep range and reduced bandwidth are cool then who is to tell you anything.

Loops are better for all modulation, it increases bandwidth and sweep. The Phase 90s sound really good in front of a Marshall gain, Eddie certainly had no loop. Yet he never used a dist pedal after the phaser.

Is it best to use a phaser in front of the amp or through the effects loop? Ive never been an effects person so I dont know much about positioning them in front or behind, before or after. I have a Triple Rec.

I think, don't quote me on this, phasers (like univibes) work best in front of dirt. In the end, it's a matter of preference though. If you like how your rig sounds with your phaser in some place, put it there. There are no rules.
