Yes, Species 8472 can distroy the Borg easily and almost did, if not for Voyager aiding the Borg. Besides that I also think that the Changlings/Founders would cause trouble since Borgs can only asimulate "solid" species and their danerously smart. Same goes for the energy based species and The "Q" can snap their fingers and bye bye Borg.
Well, what about simply adapting to the Dominion Weapons ? The it would be bye bye Dominion. And what's that thing about only being able to assimilate "solid" species ? Where did you get that idea from ?
@cameltowr1 Adaptation & Assimilation is no longer 100%. Any Species or Factions technologically advanced enough can readjust the frequency & the same goes to weaponry. As for non-solidified species not being able to be assimilated is based on the speculation that the nano-bots that make assimilation possible can be expelled from there bodies. The Borg prosthesis would be a problem with these species & the Borg never have assimilated any of these species & some solids cant be assimilated also.

This mod is good,but it isn't Star Trek realistic. Borg are the strongest race in ST, Dominion would fall in a blink of an eye even with both Kardasian and Breen aid.
@NothingGoran there are actually one race stronger than the borg. Specie(some numbers behind, dont remeber) you see them in voyager. They destroy alot of the borg cubes :P
@totaldental And Borg have awesome adaptation technology, cutting beams, gravitonometric torpedoes, tractor beams that drain energy and also the fastest ships in the game. None besides species 8472 can stand up to the Borg...resistance is futile :D
@totaldental 1 Borg Cube tore thru 30 Federation Ships while being pounded on by 61 vessels.. Klingon Shields were much more effective fighting the Breen and Romulans were able to adapt the changes.. The Borg would easily adapt as they have assimilated Romulan and Klingon ships.

How did the federation make technology that in a few decades that beat the technology the borg had been using for "thousands of centuries? The show ran out of ideas and recycled the Borg over and over again.
@Jessico76 if you look at it that way, TNG was also poorly written, how could they outwit the Borg in First Contact? The Borg have assimilated so many races, that they should know much more than you and I can imagine.
Did you see First Contact? The Borg had destroyed hundreds of ships and were about to assimilate Earth. Picard, who had been a Borg, heard the collective, and knew where to attack, and the entire fleet attacked that weak point.
Voyager was just too absurd to even be taken seriously.
And, the Borg, who had thousands of centuries to evolve, forgot that, when somebody is 'de-assimilated' still has all tactical information.
Voyager was fantastic, if you don't pay attention to all small details, like Voyager's shuttle and photon replicator! But, that's my opinion, and I respect yours as well. The idea of a starship lost in the Delta Quadrant, it's just fantastic!
Except the crew was annoying, and the stories really were not well written or interesting. Id say Voyagerl, apart from the crappy movie, and Enterprise, was the worst. The Dominion war was better then anything on voyager. I think the fact that the kept recycling the borg shows how desperate they were for ideas.

With that 'canon' fleet, are you referring to TNG, where the Borg could take down 40 ships with one cube, or to VOY, where 40 cubes couldn't catch the, sleek, strong USS Voyager? :P
It's not true, I know, but did the Borg ever catch Voyager? In Unimatrix Zero, the Tactical Cube self-destructs, in Scorpion, there was Species 8472, in Endgame, there was the future weaponry and shielding!
Well, everyone likes something else! Voyager's my favourite Star Trek series, and that the Borg appeared so often, is because they were in Borg Space, obviously.
@Scinlao it did because of the unlimited energy that the dominion ship had but a Borg scout was still capable of doing plenty of damage
