  • lot of talents my friend !! beaucoup de talents mon ami !

  • @DomoWeb thanks! i have alot of different interest.... but the guitar always comes first

  • I've been blessed to be in bands and projects with James. This man's talent, knowledge and love of music is inspiring. Working on an all acoustic project with him now. You make me a better player James! Funny thing is when we write, there's never "writers block". This is video is just a snipet of your vast talent.

    J.B.

  • @mauibuilt22 thanks buddy i appreciate the kind words...and i agree the ideas just seem to flow i think people will dig this acoustic project....stay tuned

  • dude dad freakin amazing....THUMPS UP FOR THIS MAN =]

  • @xTROOPERx913 thanks son....i didnt know you checked out my videos? i appreciate it...now go clean your room!....ha

  • Very, very good! Great job, James! Extremely clean playing. Digging it.

  • @guitarproud thanks for checking it out!...but I really dig your playing! what kind of amp are you using because i like your tone...your playing goes far beyond your years...best of luck to you

  • @jamesplasencia Thanks! I'm using a Budda SuperDrive 45 II. But I only use the clean channel. I Just overdrive it and use a TS808 for a boost. Your tone is great, by the way. Is that a Line 6 POD you are using?

  • @guitarproud that Budda super drive sounds sweet have you ever played a Blackstar amp? and yes im using a Line 6pod i like this little gadget it has some great sounds for recording direct...is that a PRS guitar that you are using in the video? and where do you study or are you self taught?

  • @jamesplasencia I've never played a Blackstar. I'm sure they sound great, though. I've been messing around with Guitar Rig 4 for a week or so. I use my Budda's poweramp and it sounds phenomenal! The guitar in the "Shred This" vid is a custom build by Kelly Barber. It's a great guitar! I study under a guy at the college I attend, and I took lessons when I first started, but most of what I know is self-taught. The guy at the college is a big help, though. His knowledge of musical theory is vast.

  • great job. my last name happens to be Plasencia as well. we might be related!

  • @MinorSnag thank you very much for the positive feedback....do you also spell your last name the same way?...it is usually spelled Plascencia with a C....we could be related...thats cool

  • @xTROOPERx913 yeah i do just like that actually and we both live in so cal thats very curious

  • @MinorSnag wow what a coincedence ! i know i have relatives in the San Bernardino maybe we are cousins?...

  • @777stevo thanks! I dig these backing tracks wish i had them when i was growing up....i will post some new videos soon ...

  • reminds me of petrucci... nice rg350mdx

  • @petruccirag2 no way! Petrucci is the man! thats is definatley a great compliment...thanks

  • I enjoyed watching this. Lauriemonk's comments were right on. Very clean picking. Even with the heavy distortion, you can hear clear picking. You don't rely on legato for your speed either. Very nice. I only wish I had that kind of speed. Keep posting!!

  • thanks so much i value everyones comments

  • @delandwill thanks for that comment...ive always been into those type of guitars that use alot of alternate picking...but i also like players that use this hybrid picking i really would like to learn how to do that...

  • good note control, picking and vibrato. Great stuff!

  • This is very good!

    Great job!
