Awesome! I just finished watching the series on DVD, and I must admit that I still have a huge crush on Trent.

However, I believe the lyric is "you ate up all my KIBBLE", not "you ate up all my cable".

Also, it is addressed on the show why Daria & Trent never got together. Watch the episode "Jane's Addition". At the end of the episode, Daria & Trent have a conversation at the pizza place about why they wouldn't make a good couple.

It's too bad Trent & Daria didn't get together for she cared about him so, but I guess Trent was some kind of unreachable limit point Daria was forever out of reach of.  I felt a warm feeling when he demonstrated care for her throughout the series in subtle ways and when she noticed these small acts of kindness I was again heart-warmed.
