@lio9844 this gun IS single action only, but it has a disconector which allows the sear to disconect from the trigger upon firing so it can hook on the second notch on the hammer.
there is a flaw to this anamation. the PURE WWII Colt 1911a1 .45 model was a single action ONLY. this is a double action, which makes it so it does not have to be cocked after every shot. the TRUE single shot WWII Colt 1911a1 .45 model had to be re-cocked after every shot.
@lio9844 ok little kid you dont know anything about guns. Only single action revolvers have to be cocked after each shot. The 1911A1 is a single action semi-auto pistol. Single-action semi-automatic pistols require that the hammer be cocked before the first round can be fired, Once the first round is fired the automatic movement (recoil) of the slide cocks the hammer for each subsequent shot
@lio9844 Before you pretend to know what you are talking about think for a second before typing it, and maybe you will decide not to make yourself look like a jackass to the entire world who knows nothing about firearms.... absolutely stupid! You are a disgrace to the gun community.
@knuckleballer187 maybe because most ppl are not gun addicted rednecks and dont own a gun in the first place? btw. last time i checked you need to pull the triget to shoot a gun..
@slashLTU I've looked all over my guns and can't find the triget anywhere. Even read the manuals and did some internet research. Maybe someone like you that knows it all can offer up some help to us dummies.
Oh, this has gone too far beyond my expectation. I didn't mean to ask about the gas like in an airsoft toy. I was only doubt about what causes the combustion so that it must has a kind of gas of something.
how does the gun move backwards?
28Jokr 3 weeks ago
wait, why does it have a rim if there is no extractor? and if there if how come i cant see it
cablecandle 3 months ago
@cablecandle There is an extracor, located at 10 oclock position, it is either hidden or simply not modeled in this animation.

the recoil ad gases push the slide back
garfeild500 4 months ago
Can someone explain how the slide blows back after the shot? I know how it works in ARs but it's kinda hard to see here.

@lio9844 Before you spout your half formed thoughts about firearms online you should really check your information.

@lio9844 That's odd because the M1911 that my great grandfather was issued in WWII was double action

do we need to fill gas in it?
sanjak 3 years ago
The gas pressure comes from the gunpowder burning.
