I did this in Spain with a weird red wasp and it took the ants 3 whole days to take the wasp into their nest. No wander though, I shot it with a bb gun and smacked it over the head with a rock 6 times and it was still trying to fly away, then I hit it with an electrified bad and sat it next to the ants.
