  • @skeptiksnarf If you don't want to I understand but its so long that I don't want it to go waste in my iPhone notepad and having someone with familiar opinions to talk about this to would be great!

  • @skeptiksnarf Hey do you have an email I can contact you by? I had a comment I was gonna post to this video but next thing I know I have a comment thousands of characters over the limit and I didn't want to spend the time sending it as indecipherable chunks; long story short I had a short critique and LONG agreement; I just have very few people to talk to this about (as you'll read in the message!) so I was wondering if you could read it and kind of bounce ideas with me. If you don't want to I

  • Thank you SO much for posting this. You said it all, man.

  • Thank you, what you said is very true. I hope American people wake up soon to the path of darkness they're heading into. Keep up the good fight. Death to the New World Order and the wickedness that it has slowly been putting into our culture!

  • chris hedges is great

  • When you have shows like Jersey Shore...It shows you that they are symptoms...Symptoms of a bigger problem...that eventually the dumb will out breed all of us. I see more people who are interested in what's going to happen in the next episode of their favorite b.s. t.v. show instead of politics, good health, lectures...BOOKS...we are going to crash one day..and we can thank snookie for being the fucking leader.

  • Thank you for this video. And Aldous Huxley was right.

  • Thank you for this video. And Huxley was right.

  • Best. Video. Ever.

  • I like mainstream culture, but I'm very independent-minded. I popular watch tv shows & news, but I neither like nor dislike celebrities. I watch both mainstream & alternative media not relying on a single source. I listen to the radio & sometimes even enjoy a popular song or a popular talk show host. I usually shop at small local stores, but not out of any grand principle & I don't feel guilty when I go to Walmart. I don't mind advertising & yet rarely buy according to it.

  • I hear and agree, but what do we do? I try to remain informed, I pay attention to scientific advances, I train and learn in technology, I dont shop at Walmart, but that isnt doing anything. Problem is the retards outnumber us, the lowest common denominator makes the money. And as much as I hate the culture of money, I need to eat, as do you. So I ask again what do we do? I dont want to seem cynical, but I am at a loss. I guess we keep talking and hope more and more people start to listen.

  • I have an idea for a government.

You only allow the retards to vote. on things. then when you come out with a clear majority of what the retards (re: fundamentalists) want, DO THE OPPOSITE.

  • @SCRulerShinoda LOVE IT

  • @SkeptikSnarf lol thanks man

  • One of my new heros is the Meijer family of Michigan. They've built quite an amazing chain of stores, and they certainly aren't trying to get rich off them {although they have}. Wal Mart offered to buy their stores, and Meijer told them no.

A Meijer store is a different experience, superior to just about any store in the country. They're clean. They have wide aisles and bright lights. And they have a full grocery store.

After Meijer, Target is dark and cramped. I won't shop Target again.

  • Big Brother isn't watching us. Big Brother is singing dancing and entertaining us so we don't notice what its doing.

Celebrity means someone who is celebrated. A celebrity used to have to do something to be celebrated, not just be hot and watchable. George Orwell worried that books would be banned, Aldus Huxley worried that people would just stop wanting to read them.

The creationism area has really been beaten to death, its hard to care anymore.

  • @anubis2814 Aldus Huxley's fears have come true.

This is Soma my friends. This is Soma.

  • @SkeptikSnarf Let the collapse of the U.S. Happen. Then Build a better government based on placing the Rational, Ethical and Intelligent in charge. I would prefer a Technocratic Society versus our current society any day.

  • @NoogLeader sadly i dont think that will happen even if (when) the US collapses. cause the xenophobic, violent, reactionary gun-toting jesus loving fanatic tea-party pawns will be the first ones to clammer for power. societies are usually never built in trying times by cool rational heads. i guess im to much of a pessimist

  • @SkeptikSnarf That is why organizing the Rational, Ehtical and Intelligent is a necessary now. Organizations and charities like the one you are in with ThunderF00t, Aron-Ra and so many others are important. These organizations need to increase their influence. The PEARList are going to win in the end because they deal with the real world and not the fake imaginary world of Celebrity.

  • Big Bang theory, on the sibject of who was more intelligent, the ending way the main female protagonist decided to say "Who was smarter" was a bunch of celebrity nonsense.

Not to mention they had the "smartest" character propose going /back/ in time (a physical impossibility).

    Fuck celebrity culture.

  • On the reality show point, I can't see a huge issue with that. If someone can entertain me for an hour or so why shouldn't they be rewarded for that? Another thing, people have and will always look for some form of distraction from their woes, so I don't see how celebrities can be blamed for that. They are just apart of that human tendency to avoid one's problems.

  • but what about my obession with youtube celebrities like you and Anubis? hehe

PPl use media to get away, like the stuff u mentioned hunger, forclosure, dead-end jobs, it discracts us from what's really going on on. But as u basically noted some people get to discracted and loose focus of reality. How do we fix our country? get the lobbiest out of washington I think would be the 1st step, 2nd making all campaign donations go into one pot so politicians can't out spend each other to get votes.
