I kinda disagree with David; God thrives in ignorance. If you just say you don't believe in their god, most religions already has a counter for that; in the bible's case, you're an idiot who is denying him and probably accepted Satan whether you know it or not.

That's why the sciences are such a thorn in their side, they need evidence and logical reasoning to counter you instead of a simple brushoff as being evil or corrupted. It doesn't matter if you just want respect. You're evil.

I've seen Michael's vlogs. He reminds me of friends in my family who are very calming and balanced to speak with as Michael wouldn't give a condescending person an ounce of his time. In contrast, David (Pres of American Atheist) is dealing with fundamentalists who are cronies who have done some pretty dastardly stuff. So, his tactic is needed.

I'm glad to see DPR regulating the conversation a lot more stringently. There's no overlapping of dialogue or interuptions of thought. Because the interruptions are what really piss me off, regardless who's doing the talking.

I get chills of frustrations when for example you get a theist explaining himself. Then suddenly you hear Thunder- 'Le-le- le-let's talk about' ....

GRRRR.

I would love it if atheism was passe - then that would mean the theists had finally given up . . . no opposition = no need for a movement. My hope is for a post-theistic world - we're pretty well rid of most of the pantheistic religions - so we've succeeded in becoming post-pantheistic . . . next logical step would be to drop the whole theistic delusion altogether . . . ahhhh, dreams.

@fdasherv Yep - we're well known for our peace loving hippy ways - that's what you get when you have a nation that consumes the most marijuana per capita in the world. But there are those of us - myself included - that have a short fuse when it comes to topics regarding religion, woo-woo, misinformation, etc. I do wish there were more though - because religion needs a good hard kick in the ass to wake it from its self-important, pompous and ignorant slumber and over the cliff.
