  • Cool. Pakistani superman. What's happening? Oh, here we go. That low pitch beat around 2:45 makes the entire board worth it. Seriously cool sound. Unbelievably rich. I scored a ML-1 yesterday and I'm looking forward to getting some good sounds out of it. Thanks for the vid

  • How about that mode switch, what did you do about that?

  • the switch between the speaker and the amp/pa? I took one of the wires (+) going to the speaker and ran it through the switch which ran back to the speaker then over to the phono output. The (-) went straight from the phono to the speaker, making two separate outputs. It's also possible to do this without a switch so both the device's speaker and the amp output are on at the same time.

  • also, if this was still in my possession I would happily take pictures.

  • The switch on the keyboard that determines if it's in play mode, demo mode, and so on. I tried to tape it to the board, but that isn't really working out well.

  • oh that switch? I just switched it on and popped the plastic part off that's on the front of the case. the switch inside should stay in that mode.

  • Ah, it appears with mine, the switch has to sit on the board there for it to get any sort of power in the keyboard. It's very touchy, if it moves at all, it cuts the power. It's been hard trying to secure it in one place.

  • How did you battery power this after opening the case?

  • I'm using a 9v power supply, but during testing I also taped the batteries down. You could also tape the batteries together, and clip wires to the different ends.

  • Thanks

  • update: found many bends on the ml1, i'd say they'll work on the ml2 also. unbelievable sounds possible, i'd written this off as a one trick pony but these last few days have been totally sleepless just fuckin with this thing, it's endless!!! hope to have details posted up soon, i'll let you know!

  • well this sets my mind at ease, i have a ML-1 open for ages and it's comforting to see somebody else who could only get that single bend out of it. Though i did find 2 legs of the IC that produced a pulsing tone when connected. Did u ever think of a voltage starvation pot? Works a treat on many casios

  • that one pot that's hooked to the glitch button acts sort of as a starvation pot, but I don't remember what the resistance is, lol. tanks for viewing!

  • dunno if u get what i meant or not, but just in case, i'm talking bout a <1k pot between the positive battery terminal and the circuit. It really fucks things up

  • oh I haven't tried that :D thanks!

  • do a search for voltage starvation pot bend. I'm tellin u man it fuckin rocks. especially on casios.

  • dude thats awesome!!!!!!!! wanna bend my sk-1???

  • sure, it'll go in the pile :P
