  • Man i love how they changed the sound of the drum pad to sound alittle more

like a electronic drum. Kerry Hopwood showed how they did that using Ableton Live.

    Sounds excellent.

  • Death is everywhereeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • oh my god, his moves ...it's amazing.

    I love them sooo much.

I saw them 3 times during TOTU.

    They made good performances

    thx. I love this song

  • Magnifique :-D

  • Honey and hot tea does wonders! : )

  • Superb Quality !!! Thanks ! :-)

  • I was SOOOO happy they played this AWESOME song! I've never seen them play this live in concert, Judas too! It was a great night.

  • @Andreamus it is honey - for keeping his voice smooth

  • Ladies and gentlement: In case you do not already have it permanently installed on your ipod, do yourself a favour and search for "Fly on the windscreen" + "Devotional" ... Listen, look, listen again...

    You shall not regret it....

  • I would like to know what DG is drinking right at the start ;-)

GahansLittleGirl is a big girl and thanks to her we have this marvellous and uptodate rendition of Fly on the W. Front row!

Is it just me or is the key changed? Or is it"just" DG's vocal cords that are changed in a lighter direction? Whatever - it's a wonderful upload!

  • shot of vodka can enhance the voice :D

DG's vocal has changed, if you are comparing to the older days, still a good voice but i do prefer his voice back in the devotional era, so smooth and rich .

  • Agreed.. Similar issue with Judy Garland, btw..

  • "shot of vodka can enhance the voice :D"

That would make him more human, wouldnt it - relapsing a little, but somehow I dont think ao and I wouldnt want to now Lie to me... but do it with sincerity,...

Are you going to new shows?

  • working on it hehehehe, i am so broke!!!!

  • @GLG: But rich in spirit.. Moved and liftet higher..

  • The key is indeed changed, albeit slightly. The original version was in E-minor. Here, they've transposed it a half-step down to E-flat minor. Very subtle, but there were several songs on this tour that was lowered a half-step in key to take some of the burden off David's vocals.

  • Aaahhh... I appreciate the "technical" answer as Ive been looking for articles on the musical qualities incl. the vocals It's understandable that his vocalchords have altered during 28 yrs, but it puzzles me that he sounds so brilliantly LIve in Milan 2006 - and today only 3 yrs after his vocal is dramatically different.

Ofcopurse its more striking on the more demanding tracks. I look forward to their indoor smaller concerts in jan/feb as it will probably create more favorable acoustics

  • great quality thanks !!!
