Do Carrie Catt and NAWSA not want the same thing as this other organization? It seems that they are fighting for something completely different. Women's Suffrage is Women's Suffrage, and ends justify means, correct? What does it matter how you got there? You're there, and that should be all that matters..
@jewlbird I agree with you; however, women from that time were afraid of change you can see how they try to live blinded by the truth even if the notice in their face they were to afraid to see it.
what's worse than this is that no matter what there will still be fights like this. Really who the hell to the males think they are i see really no difference why the hell women can't vote back then, most of them did the same thing men did back then hell they did it better. who the hell has the right to decide for you? the guys who were against women rights and treated them like that i have one question, would you do this to your mother, sister, daughter or like any women in your family?
How horrible......so sad that women had to go through that, glad those days are OVER. I hope people will look back and see how bad gays and lesbians are being treated NOW. We are the last civil rights movement yet to happen.
we're watching this movie in our women studies class and its a good movie. very powerful message and im glad im a woman. didnt like the forcefeeding part though. :(
The scene from 2:00-3:30 is so powerful. I had serious goosebumps the entire time. Courageous, selfless women those suffragists were. When they handcuffed Lucy Burns and all of the women put their hands up along with her, I was so moved. I want to thank them for all of their extraordianary efforts that helped to earn women the right to vote. Without them, I wouldn't able to vote when I'm 18, and for that, I'm forever grateful.

I know this is a totally incongruous post to make here, but the woman second from the right in the shower scene has a beautiful ass.

History is been brought to us to learn from. When we were not around, women fought very to preserve what is ours. Keep it or else.....

What complete jerks. Women have suffered SO much. They still do in some ways, but I am so thankful for women like Alice Paul.
