Thank you, i just had some difficulties recently when I had to print out a booklet. When I saved it as a pdf I wasn't able to print it out at the copyshop, although I could open it. I thought it had something to do with the black background. But I did used the rectangular tool. So now I still don't know the reason! Thank you for your replies!

when you save it in indesign it isn't black anymore how come?!

Use the Paper color for previewing only—it will not be printed, its like a color paper for printing. To print a background color, draw a rectangular frame to cover the page and fill it color from swatches panel.
