this is the sanjo that everyone starts with... I gues because it has the most variety in it. Personally, I like Choi Ok-sam and Kim Yoon-deok... but I don't know anyone that knows Kim Yoon-deok... I might start learning the shortened Choi Ok-sam soon... maybe this fall.
no it is not it is Chinese. the Korean and Japanese get their instruments from the Chinese i think. if you dont believe me that the guqin is Chinese look it up on wikipedia for yourself
@darthsion71 It's like saying the Dutch got the Violin from the Italians who in turn got it from the Near East. It doesn't matter where the instrument was invented, when it's been in a country for thousands of years, said country has just as much right to claim it.
