  • James, I just discovered your channel. Thank you for your work on this subject and your dedication to the cause in revealing these teachings. :)

  • You are welcome

  • looks pretty stupid

  • thanks

  • Look´s like Chi Gong

  • This looks a bit like tensho.

  • Yes

  • I've learned these exercises from Isshinryu teachers; I can say that these exercises ARE legitimate but if you think you are learning all you need to know you will only hurt yourself. My experience, which is small, comes from karate, judo, wrestling, brazilian jujitsu and boxing. No style is complete, train to perfect your movements; and you will perfect your fighting

  • No exercise will lead to freedom.

  • haahahah eventually after a heart attack :)

  • No liberty will be attained without discipline.

  • Gurdjieff warned against breathing exerises.

Self remembering exerises are good, but leave breathing exerises to schooled Gurdjieff people. Don't risk your health.

  • This could be dangerous if you dont have complete knowlege of what you are doing..

  • How can breathing be dangerous? I really want to know because I'm new to Gurdjieffs teachings and on a new started quest for knowledge.

  • Can U offer your thoughts on this Gurdjieff phrase?

"nothing can be attained without suffering but at the same time one must begin by sacrificing suffering"

  • Most suffer over the unpleasant conduct of others ,feeling self-pity and wounded self-importance .We must endeavor to Transform suffering by 'bearing the unpleasant manifestations of others' as a spiritual exercise,i.e.,WILLINGLY,VOLUNTARILY and without any feeling of victimization or discomfort!

  • SO the movement and the breathing simultaneously create distractions in order to train oneself to stay in double attention in normal societal situations?

  • This is very helpful. Thank you!
