@mavericks3620 Hey, go watch tripfuse04's video lesson for this song...He is very very good at teaching and is very musically savy. He goes through it very slowly making it very easy to learn. I've learn't a few songs including this one from him.

You mean the picking? It's comfortable for me that way. It always depends on the song if I use only thumb and index, or the other fingers as well. Mark Tremonti plays like that and he came very far. ;) Thanks for the tip though! =)

I've been playing for about 3 1/2 years so far. I'm all sef-taught, never had a teacher. I started with just playing chords, reading some info off the internet.and trying to learn some of my favorite songs mostly by using tabs. Since most tabs around the internet have some kind of mistakes in there though I started to learn more by ear and by watching the artist play it. I still can't read music / notes. Definitely plan on learning it thought.

Use your ear to make out the notes. ;) That's how I learned the solo as well. Sorry, I really don't have time to make a tab at the moment... but the way that guy plays it is really pretty pretty close. =)

I want a Washburn D12 too, but i cant find any place that sells them here in Sweden, much less Europe :=(. FeetInTheWater do u know of any guitar thats in the same price line that works for these sort of songs, that sounds much like urs (Seether, 3 Doors Down) etc)

@Keanu212 The Washburn D-12 wasn't made anymore since sometime in the 90's I think. Look for the D 10 maybe, they're pretty similar. Other good brands in this price range would be for example Yamaha, Cort, Ibanez or Takamine. Definitely think about if you want a Dreadnought with Cutaway or if you wanna have a pre-amp installed. I have a Takamine EG530 now (check my newer covers) and absolutely LOVE it. I don't use the Washburn anymore at all. =)

Haha, that's a great coincidence! :D I like the tone of it really, but I hate that it has just one single channel... I got a distortion paddel, but I prefer the in-built distortion over the paddel, so it's kinda useless. And it's so annoying to always switch the channel and settings...

All the songs I cover are some of my very favorite songs. So mostly I just sit down and figure them out by ear or search for tabs on the internet and learn the songs that way. I've never taken any guitar lessons. Everything I can play is 100% self-taught. You just need the will to practice until you get better. :)
