This song plays out very well when performed by more than one person (one singing Che's part, and someone representing the 'crowd' singing the Salve Regina excerpt). The lyrics sung by these two different "characters" function rhetorically as an ideological 'duel' between the rational Che and pseudo-religious fervor surrounding Evita.
Very good singing on this as well as pronounciation on the non-English part...There sounded like there was some kind of droning sound in addition to your guitar or maybe it was the reverb effect you had on the guitar. I may look into doing a recording of that song myself. :)
'non-English' part is Latin - the text of the Roman Catholic anthem to the Blessed Virgin Mary (Salve Regina). Note that "Evita" only uses about half of the full text of Salve Regina.
