  • dont care

  • hey i would like to know which of them would you have to spend more on gas. and how would you know

  • not expensive at all...10 grand for a Hayabusa and you can go 200 mph. You pay 60 grand for a nice chopper and go 130.....

  • don't talk crap, the parts are no more expensive than any other bike parts. sport bikes are statistically more dangerous than other bikes and I just wasted my time making this comment on a pointless video... good grief

  • Sportbikes are like kiddies on the street always going to fast trying to pop wheelies all the time to empress girls acting like a douche, while in a cruiser even at low speed driving your the king of the street a more mature bike then a sport bike.

i do have respect for the mature riders of sport bikes but sadly they are rare.

  • He is full of shit, He likes sport bikes because he gets underage girls on it.

  • 1:18 ~ 2:06 = the BEST & WISE TRUTH that is often the most misunderstood.

  • This guy is a moron, and by the sounds of it, has never ridden anything other than a crotch-rocket. What a dip-shit.

  • I agree with everything this man states, except he states sportbikes are not comfortable on long rides or trips. I would take a sportbike on a trip before any cruiser bike. Cruiser bikes force the rider to side straight up and to have their arms raised, which makes the rider essentially a parachute for the wind. Anything near 70 mph or above, which is the speed of most interstates, is actually very very uncomfortable on a cruiser. Sportbikes are set up for speed and the rider is comfy there.

  • This guy is a fucking moron

  • i went for a 5hr ride on my gsxr 600 and my boys had cruisers and i was in better shape than them during and after the ride i quess the bike was made for me :)

  • This guy rides his bike down to the blue oyster bar.

    Dick chaser

  • @Baseliner rofl .....As soon as he enters the music starts

  • He talks about a cruiser but he aint never rode on a m109r.Handles and brakes and powerful like a sport bike even better.

  • sport bikes are soo safe , yeah ok that explains the price of insurance right.

  • the reason the insurance is so high because they go really fast and theres always the dumb ass whos going 110 mph doing a wheelie on the free way

  • Insurance only proves what the dumb asses on the bikes do.

  • Hey genius, insurance is high on sport bikes because dumbasses think they can do what they want on them. Sport bikes are safer because these bikes can do almost anything.

  • I agree completely. Sport bikes are amazing pieces of machinery we can afford to own and have the pleasure to enjoy. However, there is no required "Dumb Ass" test before buying a sportbike and there is no denying that sport bikes are involved in more accidents. So, It's safe to say the odds are against us.

  • dude depending on how old you are. naturally the younger you are the higher your insurance premium. me on the other hand my monthly payment on my 2008 r1 is $14.

  • I've been cruising for 30 years and got hooked on sportbike peformance 3 years ago when I tested and bought a Hayabusa. I enjoy riding again. I doubt I'll ever go back. I sold my GoldWing this spring.

  • not being there is your protection, hahaha

  • fuck you!!!!

  • ur a fag shut up

  • how does he feel about tricicles

  • lol

  • @craigalot about the same as he does spell check

  • It was a comparison. A Sport bike is built for performance, just as a Ferrari is built for performance.

  • the yamaha thunderace is not a sports bike, its a sports tourer

  • and a tourer is also a bike, isnt it?

but sure, its not a SUPERsport bike ;)

  • Look, I tried! We have a great HELOC-Davidson dealer here, and they almost "make" you test ride bikes. I wouldn't be caught dead on one of those things. I do have a weakness for Road Kings.

  • The less you can shift your weight, the more the bike has to lean in any given turn, and the more sideways force there is on the tires. That's why racers "hang off", that's why dirt bike riders are able to negotiate low traction surfaces (dirt, gravel or sand) Okay, now add the inability shift your weight, with low ground clearance. It adds up to trouble. You can get along with a cruiser, but why on earth would you ride a "crippled" bike? to "tip-toe" around?

  • And if you want some real fun, have your foot, extended out in front of you, fall off the board and hit the road with your leg extended. Ouch!

I don't need a super sport bike, but I sure don't need to make a left hand turn in the city with cars right up my butt cause they can make the turn faster than me. They are simply inferior bikes, you can raise the grips on a sport bike, or change the seat, but there is nothing you can do to overcome the basic design defeciencies of a cruiser. Fact.

  • matchewitz, have you had much experience on bikes? Most of the time, when you have to shift weight, you are going slow! Reduced traction, or a sudden obstacle or pothole.

Once again, if you can't stand on the pegs to unweight the seat and shift your weight, the bike is much, much less safe than it could be. And a bike does not have to be a "cruiser" to have a comfortable and reasonable seating position.

It's not a matter of what you want to do, it's a matter of what you will need to do!

  • Cruisers suck. On a cruiser, you can not un'weight" the seat because the footrests are out in front. This prevents you from leaning, beyond turning your head.

Avoid cruisers, they are not comfortable, sitting on your tailbone is not the way to ride a bike. And that's just the start with the things which are demonstrably, provably, undeniably wrong with cruisers.

If you can't shift your weight, the bike is unsafe, no matter how comfortable it seems to be standing still.

  • agreed

  • Thanks for agreeing. Again, if the footpegs (or footboards) are not close to straight under you, you cannot shift your weight. When you can't shift your weight, the bike leans further in a curve. Now add the fact that most cruisers have little ground clearance, and you've got trouble. The footpegs don't have to be up and back, like a race bike, but they should let you shift your weight. You should be able to stand up on the pegs without pulling yourself up with the bars.

  • it's cuz they're for cruising, you dont cruise at 100 miles an hour taking twists and turns at breakneck speed. you go slow and enjoy the ride. in reality both types are good (own a raider and a ninja 500) and both are good for what they're meant to do. so everybody stop hatin on cruisers or sportbikes, cuz you're makin yourselves look like D-bags. all that matters is the ride, and everybody has their way of doing it.

  • wtf is this?a real motorcycle rider and enthusiast rides and appreciates ALL bikes. rockets may outperform most cruisers when it comes to speed, but cruisers are more bad ass. would a hot chick rather ride on the back of some rumbling cruiser or sit on the half seat of a rocket?

  • the rocket cuz its more exciting

  • yeah and she wants her ass to be out too for everyone to see. 'cause that how women are lol

  • till her ass starts hurthing and she realizes what she got herself into. cruisers baby.

  • When you go to the beach.. the hot chicks with nice asses and G-strings are on the crotch rockets..... not the cruisers.

  • Yeah like I said. For about 5 minutes.

  • SRTY31 i agree with yu 100%, i have a cruiser and i have riden on a sport bike. the sport bike was very uncomfortable! people just ride them to be cool like the fast an the confused, i meen furious.

  • yea your right, people ride crusiers to be slow and NOT COOL.

  • Whatever! Someone needs more time in the saddle before making these claims.

  • expert village- whats this the retard learning channel

  • Yea, Ive rode cruisers and sportbikes and I agree, Sportbikes are far safer than cruisers.I Currentley have a ninja500r.Haha your never comfotable enough on a sportbike to become complacent.

  • the 600 is a great starter bike. Take the MSF course and practice, practice, practice.

You'll grow into it in no time...believe me.

I've got a 1700cc bike and I had the same reservation as you about such a big bike, but believe me, after a month or two, you really get used to it.

  • I'll take anything, motorcycles are the bomb! I have a Kawi 500R and love it!

  • i have owned bikes from dual sports to sport to tourers to cruisers. This guy isa bit of a sport bike fanboy. many cruisers now have speed plus handling such a a vrod or a warrior. then there is the new 2009 vmax completely redone with 4cyl 200hp stock. dont say that will be slow. I would class them like this. Sport Bike - Ferrari, Tourer - Cadillac Cruiser - Muscle car.

  • a good starter sportbike is a ninja 250

  • Yes, but running that thing on the highway would be insane. That motor couldn't take the abuse that a lot of Highway driving will put on it.

But a Ninja 250 for around town...hell yes. It's light, nimble, and has a little get up and go.

  • just get a 1000 and give it less gas not rocket science lol!

  • I hope you are joking when you say simply giving a 1000 less gas makes it ok to learn on.........

  • why? too complicated for u? lol

  • If you know anything at all about bikes you would klnow why learning on a 1000 is a dumb idea.

  • good reason

  • ......I started on a 1700cc Yamaha Warrior....

What's the problem. If it's too powerful, then stop twisting your wrist so much.

    dave.

  • Well good for you. Anyone will tell you that a bike that big is NOT the ideal starter bike, and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone either! You are lucky that bike didn't end up on top of you. That's like giving beginner driving lessons in a semi. LOL

  • How in the hell am I lucky? All you gotta do is grow into the bike and not be a retard on the throttle....simple.

Just like a 16 year old with a 500hp car. He will kill himself if he doesn't respect that car or is douchebag....

Some people start on large bikes, but you have to choose the bike that makes you feel safe and happy. Learning curves differ and so does common sense.

    dave.

  • You are lucky because learning to balance a motorcycle that probablly weighs as much as a small car is pretty stupid. All it takes is to turn too sharp, and down your gonna go. The throttle is the easy part.........

  • The bike ways just a hair over 600lbs....nothing close to a small car.

Ever hear of the MSF course....yeah...that helps too.

As for balancing it, centripetal force keeps the bike balanced...so you definitely won't be just up and falling over.

Maybe it helps that I used to ride dirtbikes as a kid too.... ;o)

Do some research on the Warrior and you'll figure out why I chose that bike over the smaller bikes that I was looking at....

    dave

  • Well picture a begginer learning to ride, and going around a slow corner and loosing their balance, do you think it would be easier to catch yourself on a 600 plus pound bike, or a 300 pound bike? Oh and the safety course you speak of would NEVER reccomend ANYONE starting out on such a beast! Also the fact that you rode dirtbikes as a kid pretty much wipes out your statement of "learning to ride" on a warrior. I'm talking about people that never rode in their life moron.

  • Yeah, and I rode a 10 speed too. That alone makes me an expert in riding....LOL

If you've ever ridden a bicycle, then you can navigate a damn motorcycle around a corner as long as you're going a safe speed.

Don't get all defensive and start calling names....just because your argument doesn't hold water. You can start on as big of a bike as you want...as long as you're not an idiot.

  • LOL, now I know you are a kid if you think riding a bicycle is the same as riding a motorcycle. You can catch yourself if you loose your balance on a bicycle, but a beginner loosing their balance on a 600 pound motorcycle is not gonna be able to catch themselves too easily! Oh, and if all you need to learn how to balance a motorcycle is a bike, well then they might as well close down all the rider courses huh? You sound really dumb.

  • Yup, I'm a kid who rides a $13,000 bike and owns a business....and also rode dirtbikes over 10 years ago....yup...like you said, I'm just a kid.

Who's really a moron? Someone who actually isn't afraid to jump on a big bike and go or someone who spells BOYS with a Z....

Whatever dude...you sound dumb..dur dur dur...

I love the intelligence in your replies. Who the hell are you to tell me anything buddy. You're just some douchebag on Youtube...

  • And....if you'd get your head out of your ass and actually read the MSF book, they state in the manual that "Participants must be able to balance a bicycle if they are to take this course"....so..yeah....you must've been sleeping through that part....sorry...to pee on your Cornflakes, bubba....

  • Well buddy, I took that course 15 years ago! The instrusctor would have advised against basically everything you said, so you bringing that into it is pretty funny. Like I said, just because you can ride a bike dosen't mean you can ride a motorcycle.

  • Perhaps you should sign up for the refresher course.....

  • I could outride your ass anyday my friend. I surelly don't need any course. All this time I have been merelly stating the fact that NO beginner should start out on a 1700cc bike. Since you seem to hail this course as the bible of motorcycles, you should go and ask them and they will say the EXACT SAME thing as I have........dumb ass.

  • WTF...you're still talking? Dude...get a fucking hobby instead of trying to flex your vagina on YOUTUBE....seriously...

Hold on, your wife just told me to tell you to get the fuck off the computer and fix dinner. She'll be home in a few minutes.

She also says that you're wrong. She says I ride better than you...

  • Motorcycles ARE my hobby buddy, and there is NO way you could outride me, I am sorry. I raced amatuer at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for a few years. Also I don't know what you ride now, but one of my four bikes would stomp whatever you have if anything. So my wife is there huh? Well your insult would work so much better if I had a wife. LOL I'll just stick to having a different girlfriend every week. That is more fun anyways. Wifes are only good for nagging.

  • Well good for you. Give me your address so I can send you a big ol' cookie.

    ...dur dur dur...

I have an SCCA trophy...wanna lick my balls too? Get a life and stop acting like a fucking know it all moron.

If you knew half the shit you thought you do, you might actually be able to get 1 woman to actually put up with your ass for more than a week. We all make mistakes...and I guess your "girls" figure that out on their own...

  • Attacking my personal life now huh? Well, I doubt your trophy, and I doubt you even ride but who cares. All I said from the beginning is starting out on a 1700cc bike is dumb, and anyone that teaches those classes you speak of will tell you the same thing, so I guess that makes me a know it all huh? Oh, and as far as my girlfriends, well I haven't been dumped yet since you seem to be so hot on the subject. I tried the whole serious relationship thing for 7 years. It was a drag. I ended it too.

  • Wow look at Mr. penis on here flashing his mancob online!

  • The best way to learn is on a 500 or less because it is not a 4 cylinder engine so it has less power and won't scare you. If you are going to get a 600 for your first bike, buy an older cheaper one because they have less power than the brand new models. Just get something cheap because more likely than not it will tip over once or twice. Get something nice once you learned more control, and are comfortable. An older gixxer would be just fine.

  • sport bikes safe??? retard....

  • well he made a point, whats your point, STUPID FUCK?

  • y flame me if i wasnt insulting u?

my point is, idk how can he say that sport bikes are safe if most motorcycle accidents occur on sport bikes....

  • well it is obvious if you were to use logic that sportbikes are in more accidents because of the riders who are usually more inexperienced, younger, and stupider, not to mention nice cruisers are expensive, any kid can get a cheap sportsbike, thats why you see lots of idiots crashing these bikes, but the bikes themselves are safer, the dude made a great point and you had to be the asshole and act a fool.

  • yet again, im not insulting you so there is no need to flame

i just dont agree with him, thats all and you come insulting me because of my opinion?

  • but he is not here to respond to you, I AM, he made a great point, if you disagree then present your point, and I will examine it with no bias, till then dont hate dude, its chick shit.

  • lol ur a dumb ass... not safe if u drive like an ass LOL GET A BRAIN U BITCH

  • like most of the dumbasses who drive those peices of shit

  • Sportbikes handle the best, and stop the best, so yes they are the safest. Do you have an intellegent question? Sportbike accidents are because of stupid drivers, not the bikes. That is like putting a gun in a childs hand and blaming the gun when someone gets shot. Think first, ask questions second. Thank you

  • i thought i was the only one who thought that a sport bike is safe, as long as your not riding crazy.

  • Exactly right richie any bike-any size can be just as dangerous as the next if you ride the same on a sportbike as on a harley theres no difference ur in the same situation just different name under you

  • what is up with all the smartarse haters?! Yes it's a sport-touring bike for all you nitpicking bored gits.

Since this video targets people who can't tell a cruiser from a sportbike, it's good enough! Pretend you're a total newb and look at this old yzf-1000 and then look at a chopper. What do you think people will think this yzf is? A sportbike yes. It has the LOOK... and looks are all people on the most basic level can discern.

Chill out geezus. Ride safe! and stay cool.

    Peace.

  • Except that YZF is the r6 and r1 series you idiot.

  • Call me the idiot?Yamaha produces the YZF R1 and YZF R6.THEN THEY ALSO PRODUCE THE YZF 600 AND YZF 1000 WHICH ARE DETUNED VERSIONS OF THE R6 AND R1.The bike that he has there is the YZF 1000.The easiest ways to tell are the single headlight enclosure and the banana style seat. The R6 and R1's have seperated headlights not 1 in the middle and have 2 seats that are very easy to tell that there are 2 seats. The yzf 600 and 1000 have a banana style seat. Know ur shit before you preach it moron.

  • I think your thinking of the FZ series, the FZ1 and the FZ6, there are no "detuned YZF's"

  • Is this guy kidding us? If expert village was smart they would have an EXPERT commenting on the difference between sportbikes and other bikes. 1st a Yamaha YZF is not a sportbikes either at least they could have chosen an R1 or R6. I also never heard anyone other than this retard say a sportbike with 120-160 horsepower being safer than other bikes lol. Also a bike with a banana seat based on a 1972 Schwinn design will not be comfortable especially if ur half a fag that doesnt ride agressive!

  • the r1 and r6 are yzf bikes you dumb-ass

  • Very good video

  • does anyone know the age limit for a motorcycle licence in Virginia?

  • minny squid and his touring not sport bike

  • lol

  • informative and cool

  • Funny enough, the bike he's standing next to is a sport tourer and not af ull fledged race replica (aka "R" bike: GSX-R, RR, R6, R1 ZX6R).

He doesn't even begin to address the intricacies of the bike's suspension or steering geometries. And jesus don't forget about the brakes, sport bike brakes are FAR superior to cruiser type bikes.

  • bikes like Honda CB, Yamaha XJ, Kawa zepher these are bikes have best of both worlds.

  • well done ..

  • this guy is captain obvius and is also gay

  • nikanj speaks a lot of truth and wisdom, different types of bikes for different types of riding,i like my harley i also like my Vstom , i have no need for a balls out sport bike

  • sweet, whatch my vids

  • yo chad, thx. now I can use this vid as a back-up, just in case my over-protective mom doesn't want me to ride a sports bike. I can use this vid to tell her the reasons why its a safer bike.

  • you probably need a pocket bike by your attitude

  • Yamaha YZF 1000R Thunderace isn't a sport bike!! Sche was made for touring!!!!!!!

  • but good video. i own a kawasaki Z1R 1000...im only 16..its actualy my dads but he lets me ride it. He use to race pro.

  • there's no such bike like kawasaki z1r 1000.

  • Yeh there is a Kawasaki Z1R..

have a look for your self. Its 1000 cubic centremetres. hence the 1000 der. It has been my fathers and he gave it to me.

  • sportbikes are ONE word, and yes, they are superior

  • Hey, Thanks for the videos!! Just bought my first sports bike, a Kawasaki zx636r 2003. Infact, this is my first ever motorbike! Thanks for your time and effort in making these clips :-) Don't listen to the jerks, really big of them to slag people off hiding behind their PC's LOL!

  • sport bikes are superior

  • IMO, this guy is a dumbass.

  • IMO you're an idiot.

  • I wouldn't say any kind of bike is suprior, they all suit different tastes and it's mostly a matter of opinion. You should have showed a cruiser alo, surely you kow someone that own one. I with you on long distance ride comfort though. I tried to ride my CBR interstate and by the end my shoulders were aching my arms numb and back was sore for weeks.

  • sport bikes are superior
