What's with the Ms. Buttersworth lady doing the narrative? Sounds like she should be reading bedtime stories and not a documentary about a metal band lol.
i thought this was really good, currently me and my band are around the pre kill em all stage, and this covered alot of stuff on what METALLICA did at this time. so thanks for that it was helpful...:) i gotta say though one major flaw that kept poping up was the fact they spelt kirks name wrong... its Kirk Hammett . they had Kirk Hammet.. not to big but yhea thanks alot though
@Michalbasavraham so you're 36.. and you say you followed metal in the early 80's.. so you were between 6-9 yearrs old.. And yet you were somehow following the metal scene.. Maybe the early 90's... or mid 90's.. but not early 80's bud, sorry to say!
@ArchaicUnknownHD I was 9- mid 80's. I came in around when Master Of Puppets was released and it's not BUD cuz I'm a chick. And why do you think a kid can't listen to metal? By early to mid 90's I had moved on to pop music but in elementary school and middle school I was listening to metal and wearing a lot of black/denim. My mom hated it hahah.
@Michalbasavraham A kid could listen to metal, and sorry I thought you were a guy don't see a lot of girls that are into metal! I'm just surprised that yu got into it at that young of an age.. ahha
@ArchaicUnknownHD I had a cousin that I worshipped the ground he walked on. I think he's 5 to 8 years older. I've lost touch with my family, but he was into them and once I heard their music I was HOOKED. I had a rough childhood and I was precocious so I liked their anger and message. Yes, there's not many chicks into metal. When I saw big four (in sept) we had nice clean bathrooms and the guy I was with said there was piss all over the mens room.
@anormalique and metallica is any better? Their music is fucking boring as shit and they are nothing with out cliff. And dont even get me stared about gay (cough) lars and kirk.)
@anormalique wtf?both of these bands are legendary and their work is inspirational for people who love rock and metal!Even after all these years...Their songs are timeless..the proof?i m 19 and i hear songs written about 30 or 20 years ago!!
When you hear this women voice...and you think your getting to see a good documentry...your wrong. I've seen Nivrana, SOAD and RATM..is this format, it's like hearing someone read you a wiki with random pictures
Relax people these are unotherized documentaries so they dont use any music or something that would require copy right. I actually enjoy these kind of documentaries, makes a nice change.
Exciting Interviews with the brother in law of kirk hammet (!!!!!), matt shapiro (!!!!) talking bout a beer cup he got from cliff burton!!!. And a lot of facts you never heard of (but not about metallica) If you dont like metallica its okay you wont hear any song of them in this documentary but lots of music of bands you never heard of. The makers werent obviously not even allowed to use the official band logo.
it s intresting in a way. i liked hearing Quitana speak, and a couple of other guys
they did get wrong one thing. in 2002 or 3, those where not open auditions for a new bass player, the one that elena won. Metallica did a open doors kind of thing at there HQ in San Fran for the Metclub, and one of the many treats the fans got that day was to do a song with Metallica as a bass player :) (it wasn t a publicity stunt like they say in the doc. it was plain fun)
i know it's strange how that is a great film about 'Tallica but I dont feel it is! I mean I feel like they are talking about other people ! There even isnt a single metallica song in this film ! you get it right ?!?
This sounds more like a news broadcast than anything else.

Funny, every other interview and documentary credits Lars with putting out the ad. and Hetfield responding to it.

Interesting watch, but how can it be The Complete Story when you go from before Kill 'Em All to after Master Of Puppets in one sentence?

All these "story of's" are not authorized, so to avoid a lawsuit (copyright), they don't include any music.

@powningking0 which would explain why half this shit is wrong. Lars put in the classified which James answered and not the other way around.
