  • That was more than 40 years ago. Things were different in those days. Motorsport would be very dangerous until the 80's. Now it's reasonably safe.

  • That was propably the worst accident in formula 1

  • Was this season by chance where they got the idea for the film Grand Prix. Similar story to the events here.

  • I believe a race should be stopped whenever someone is fatally injured, driver or spectator. There are limits to the fatalism of "the race must go on". Racing is dangerous but it does not need to be blind to reality and disrespectful of the dead.
