Well, this is gonna make for one creepy animated film.

Coraline, 9 and Rango were major letdowns when it came to pushing animated mediums in a more mature, serious fashion. Hope the 2012 remake doesn't go down the same path.

Remember seeing this as a kid. Looked it up when saw a remake was in the works. Grew up with this breed of dog, "English Bull Terrier" and they are truly awesome animals. Very comical dogs. The video reminds me of all the dogs we had over the years. Good memories. Go Burton!

I was never aware of this film. I was not aware Tim Burton was fired by Disney either. Funny how they want him now. In regards to the film, tres noir, it seems to be set in the past whilst coinciding somewhere near the present. Perhaps, Burton desired to replicate his boyhood in at the time said "current" setting. I'm grateful their are people like him.

@Jeffdabest15 I am not looking forward to it. To me if your proud of your movie it's because you did everything you wanted to do with it. So remaking your movie is usually a sign that you want to improve upon your original art because you think it wasted the potential it had. I don't think Tim Burton understands what made this short film so great. It was very imaginative and funny,it didn't have great effects but it didn't need them. Just a thought. Maybe it'll be good.

@KelanDWood I think your missing the point, the new film will be in stop-motion has he had originally wanted, and shot in Black and while like this version. Also the ending to this version was forced upon him by the studio. The fact is he was never really happy if how the short turned out and now has the chance to make the film he always wanted. (unlike nbc were he did hold out until he was able to make it the way he wanted)
